A Month-Long Marathon & A Badge from HiveBuzz

Hello 👋 good people of Hive, how are you all doing today?

If the above line were in the Discord group I am involved with, the bot would reply with “We are doing well.”

Hope I get this from you too, and why should I not— Hive is pumping crazily after a few months of the interval, and those, who are traders, they are making the most out of it along with the seasonal sellers.

Anyway, I have got nothing to do with trading, my little storage inside my head can’t hold that much data. I am here today to share one of my accomplishments on Hive Blockchain; not remarkable compared to many users, still, I am proud of my achievement.

So, what is it— I have successfully earned a ‘Monthly Author’ badge— oh, not yet until this post is counted, which I believe will make its way to #HiveBuzz in a moment. So, yay! Congratulation to me!

I have been writing in Hive Blockchain for almost 1.7 years now with a break of 4-5 months maybe back in 2021. When I started blogging here, my life was quite scattered with little to no stability— affecting my actions here on Hive.

But now, I can say it’s quite stable and I am pretty confident about that, Alhamdulillah. Hence, I took a different approach towards my journey in Hive, exploring the ecosystem and trying to understand the most of it. However, some things are way beyond my ability to synthesise and enlighten myself with their gist; you know, my tiny storage thing.

Still, I am trying. And trust me— it’s ecstatic.

There are many users who still don’t know there is a thing called HiveBuzz except they read it in their comments for periodic achievement. Even I learned about it only a few months ago. As a part of my exploring, I begin my research and found this super cool program where you have been assigned a handful of tasks— infinite tasks I must say.

The program is designed to count your every activity and put it into your records to notify you when you reach a milestone. Some are very easy to attend while many are very complex and almost impossible for the majority of the Hive users.

You will find the complete list here: https://hivebuzz.me/

Simply put your account at the end of the URL and your all-time achievement will be shown here. I am inviting you all to participate in the challenges enlisted here. If you are on Hive not only to make money— trust me, you’ll love it.

About my most recent achievement, I have published a post every day of a month— unfortunately, I took the challenge in March and so, I had to write at least one post for 31 days in a row. February would make your job much easier.

As per the rule of the challenge, it doesn’t matter if you write 31 posts in a day or two. You must write every day following the UTC time. Timing is a major fact for the “Weekly Author” badge as it’s not you start someday and write for the next 7 days but you MUST start it on Monday and continue till Sunday to cover the week. The same goes for the Monthly Author as well— starts on the 1st day of the month and you must continue till the end of the running month. You miss a day, you miss the badge— this is what makes it too sensitive.

Anyway, even though I have completed the challenge, I will not stop here. Instead, I have a plan to continue this unless something serious holds me back. I have turned it into a habit and it seems quite restless to me if I find it hard to manage time to write a day, which is still not a case for me— but, you cannot say what’s coming next. However, during my journey, what motivated me apart from the promise of recognising me with the badge is the continuous support from BDCommunity; you know what I mean. To be honest, without rewards, motivation does not sustain long. So, my heartfelt thanks and gratitude towards the community people and supporters.

During my one-month journey, I have realised creativity takes time, effort, and persistence. If I check my writings, I find some are absolute rubbish while some are somewhat okay to be here. And this has made me aware of my ability in situations where it requires consistency— what may happen when I am pressurised.

Even though I could manage to maintain the quality of my posts sometime, I didn’t compromise on the length and tried to keep it around 600 words to higher.

Well, I may have completed a major task here, but, unlike others, I am still lacking what every Hive user has done on the first day of joining— writing an introductory post.

See? It's empty there.

So, my next mission is to write an introductory post and I am feeling a bit uncomfortable here as it’s been almost 2 years I am writing on Hive without announcing my presence in this fine ecosystem. But, sometimes you have to embrace adversity for a greater good— and in my case, the ‘greater good’ is my vow to stick to the ecosystem for eternity.

Wish me luck folks.
