Welcome to another splinter-week battle challenge with the theme card 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 of the Water Element. This monster 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 is a simple yet useful card especially for low mana cap battles. I wouldn't be too quick to write it off and I'll explain why. My progress in Splinterlands these few days has been an exciting one, moving from NOVICE LEAGUE TO SILVER I, woohoo! Exciting.

The 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 comes from the water element and is a common card that costs 3 mana to use in battle. It is a melee attack card, and I believe it pairs well with just about any water splinter as we shall be seeing in this battle.

I am using a level 2 and this monster has a 1-melee attack, 2-speed, 3-shield and 4-health. Truth is, This Monster when compared to other monster cards, it doesn't look anything special, probably because it has no Ability. But, if you give it another thought, it is a really decent card. Given that it is a Common Level 1 card, this means it receives +2 in stats for winning in the bronze league, while on level 3, it gets an extra 1-health and 1-speed. This Sethropod is a decent tank in my opinion.

As we can see from Stats, the Regular foil 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 has 1-speed, 1-Melee attack, 0-ranged attack, 0-poison, 3-shield, 4-health, and no abilities at the start. Level 2, it only gains an extra speed point. At level 7, it improves it's shield to 5 and Health to 6. However, at maximum level 10, it becomes pretty decent and has 3-melee attacks with 6-shield points and 7-health.

It becomes extremely powerful when its 3-mana cost is considered. At this Levels, 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 attacks can be increased further with summoners like Valnamor or Lir deppswimmer, imagine how much damage you can inflict on enemy.

For the Market price chart 👉 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 (REGUALAR FOIL AND GOLD FOIL)

You'll see that the Gold foil has been in high demand for players in higher league, with the least price at 1.67$ and all time high at 2.4$. While for the Regular foil, this is considerably cheap to buy now with least price at 0.08$ and all time high at 0.11$. You can buy or rent this card easily in-game SPLINTERLANDS or PEAKMONSTERS. Buying the gold foil now at this prize will be the wise thing for me to do as i am approaching Gold league, never know how the market turns out.

To thoroughly make good use of the 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊, just get the gold foil😆 and then battle your way up to experience it's full strength. A monster with good tank and perfect distraction for you to take full control of the battle in proper lineup⚔️.

This was a low 17 mana cap battle, I used the Legendary VALNAMOR as my summoner who gives all my monsters +1 Magic, +1 health, +1 speed at start of battle. Ranged attacks could be used but in front line.
😂Another Interesting thing was all Monsters got Poisoned at start of battle and each round too💧, well Hello there enemy, the odds against us both. Let's see who survives!!!

STRATEGY:

😂To be honest, I have always loved this summoner for the water deck. Either this or Alric. Seeing that it was my first visit to a new League, I thought to not show up weak, so I summoned IMO the strongest summoner of the water element, the great VALNAMOR. 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 a melee attack monster will peer perfectly with him and so will the rest team. I rented this card and It's worth every SPT. How about an extra Magic, Health and Speed? Let's attack!!!.

STRATEGY:

In front line comes the TORRENT FIEND, a zero-cost unit employed solely as a sacrifice unit, positioned to deal with cunning opponent monsters. This card can take a few blows if you're lucky, and I employed it only for that purpose, not as an attacking unit, though it does have one melee attack.

STRATEGY:

Then comes one of my Favourite water Splinter the powerful DJINN OSHANNUS a gold foil. I employed him because of his great Health points and Speed. His Void ability makes him very strong against magic enemy monsters.

STRATEGY:

Then comes the themed card 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 up in third position. A regular foil monster best suited for battles with low MANA caps such as this. This has a decent Tank for just 3 MANA.

STRATEGY:

In fourth is the flying ALBATROSS, a 1 mana cost monster with just a point speed and health. Just the final card to add to deck.

As you can see from my lineup, I attempted to provide a balance, focusing more on health and speed. Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground.

• The Enemy came at me with the Fire element, TARSA as Summoner. RADIATED SCORCHER in first position, LIVING LAVA in second, and TENYII STRIKER in last position. My Enemy came ready with fire to burn me all up🔥. Fire against water, Let's see who quenches🤣

• Round 1 started with us all getting poisoned. Then VALNAMOR giving a my monsters +1 Magic, +1 health, +1 speed as expected.

• DJINN OSHANNUS launches a deadly strike on RADIATED SCORCHER and kills it instantly.

• TORRENT FIEND then launches and attack but has no effect on LIVING LAVA who is now in enemy's first position.

• Round 1 ends with TENYII STRIKER attacking and killing ALBATROSS, after which LIVING LAVA launches a deadly on TORRENT FIEND health -2 and dead.

• Round 2 begins again with all monsters being poisoned and health's affected.

• DJINN OSHANNUS the launches an attack but has no effect on LIVING LAVA.
• LIVING LAVA furious retaliates and so does TENYII STRIKER on 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 affecting their health.

• Round 2 begins again with all monsters being poisoned and health's affected. This immediately kills LIVING LAVA as he was hanging unto 2 health. But my Monsters both have great tanks, so standing strong.

• Round 3 ends with DJINN OSHANNUS launching a deadly on TENYII STRIKER -3 and dead😝.

⚔️FINAL RESULT⚔️

• 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 along side DJINN OSHANNUS become Heroes of battle. FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!

This was A Lovely 58 mana cap battle which ended in 4 rounds and VICTORY Again!!!. All monsters were given the Knockout ability at start of battle and every kind of Splinter but Earth was allowed in the battle.

DO I LIKE 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 AND WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE DIFFERENTLY?

I Think I do like this monster 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊, because even without ability, when placed in favourable position or backed by Tank monsters such as this these two Battles, it is able to cause great damage.

To be fair, I definitely look forward to experiencing it's max stats or gold foil at higher levels. It has pretty awesome shield and health, that's already a slam dunk. This only demonstrates that if you play the Water splinter and it's a low mana cap, then this is a card to have on deck.

The battle was exciting to watch and I will keep seeking more ways to own, engage, but more cards and level up the 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊.

DID MY STRATEGIES WORK?

Yes, my strategy worked very well. It was a good lineup and strategy for this battle⚔️

VALNAMOR as Summoner made it all great despite the Poisoning, the extra health and speed made a difference and perfect peer for 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊.

🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 is no doubt a decent card, and this battle challenge has surely exposed it's usefulness in battle.

😊That will be all about my weekly battle with 🌊CRUEL SETHROPOD🌊 as the themed card.
