Orongan Beach Resort: Swimming with Coco

My fur-baby is having a great time at the beach on a beautiful afternoon. She is a dark chocolate miniature long-haired dachshund. Our little one.

We decided to drive up north of Cebu to visit this resort. It's only a day trip, and we plan for this little one to swim.

Orongan Beach Resort is somewhat of a family day trip destination. They offer rooms if you want to stay overnight. The resort is located in San Remegio, Cebu.

We left before lunch, just in time to get to the beach afterward. We stopped for food on the way and had a late lunch at the beach. We planned this so that we could swim in the late afternoon to catch the beautiful sunset, and also because it's not that hot anymore, avoiding sunburn and, of course, keeping our Coco out of the sun.

This was the first time we had ever brought her to swim. I was scared at first to let her swim on her own because she was too little.

I remember my boyfriend kept saying "dogs are natural swimmers,” and then I finally let her go, and she went well.

She enjoys swimming on the beach, walking along the shore, and running towards the waves.

Even though we drove nearly 3 hours to get here, we never got tired of seeing this little one having so much fun.

Not long after sunset, we drove back, and the whole time, Coco was deep asleep in my lap.

We always took her swimming after that trip, and she had a great time every time.
