An unplanned visit to Cebu City's SM Seaside Mall

An unplanned visit to Cebu City's SM Seaside Mall ๐Ÿค—

Following the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette/Rai, malls have already reopened in Cebu City. Unplanned, my friend and I decided to go to SM Seaside because I really wanted to go back to one of my favorite restaurants, "Teppanyaki Brothers," where they cook your food in front of you.

We boarded a bus just outside our office in Ayala Business Park, which took us directly to SM Seaside.

If you live here, you understand how convenient it is to take only one ride.

When we arrived, we went straight to the foodcourt area, only to discover that the restaurant I wanted to visit had already closed. It has now been replaced.

So we decided to go around and look at our next options, and we didn't have to look far to find "Seoul Bibimbob." It piques my interest because I actually love Korean cuisine!

After a few minutes of browsing their simple menu, we decided to order the Seoul Bibimbob rice bowl.

It's a bowl of rice, cucumbers, onions, kimchi, ground beef, and an egg on top. You combine them with a special Korean pepper sauce called "gochujang." It's really delicious and satisfied my cravings.

With our stomachs full, we strolled around the mall in search of something sweet.

I always passed this ice cream shop called The Buzz Ice Cream from the Bohol Bee Farm whenever I visited this mall and didn't pay much attention because I assumed it was just another ice cream shop. We decided to try some because we saw on their menu that they had "Charcoal" flavored ice cream! We were very interested in how it tasted.

I decided to order some ice cream in a cone, and you had to get two scoops if you wanted it in a cone. So I got one scoop each of Charcoal and Malunggay flavors.

When I got it, the cone felt a little new, so I asked the "Kuya" (the waiter who served me my ice cream) what it was made of, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was made of cassava.

Cassava is a popular root crop in the Philippines. This piques my interest.
The ice cream was simply delicious. I can't believe I just passed by it thinking it was just another ice cream shop and didn't stop to get some.

It's really good, and it's difficult to choose between the two flavors I tried, but I'll get the charcoal again next time. I'm definitely going back to try the other flavors on the menu.

After a brief conversation with my friend, we decided to head home and board the bus once more. It's a well-spent after-shift meal for me.

Thank you for spending the time reading this. I hope you can also go to SM Seaside and try the Seoul Bibimbob at the foodcourt as well as The Buzz Ice Cream from the Bohol Bee Farm.

It does not taste like chocolate for me. ๐Ÿ˜„
It is creamy and sweet kind like milk but in black.

When I read your post, I feel like I'm in the same mall as you do, standing in the middle and having hard time to decide which one to go for ๐Ÿคฃ I wanna eat everything!

Side note, those bibimbop looks extremely tasty! To be frank, I'm not a Vege guy until I had my first hot stone Vege mixed rice.

I'm a big fan of Korean food and this is one of the common dishes they have. It is spicy full of flavors and I can stay it's probably like the stone vege rice you tried. ๐Ÿ˜„
