CINE TV CONTEST: AKEELAH AND THE BEE....

This will be my first participation in the cine tv contest and as a lover of movies, i am really happy i found this community, i have been in this community for a while now and i didn't participate in other contests because i didn't really know much about the community but now i am really interested to be here and to participate in the present contest....

I couldn't resist the urge to write upon seeing this beautiful topic tittled:

         MOVIE THAT MOST REPRESENTS KINDNESS!...

Actually i watch lots of movies and tv series with all form of genres and after reading and dwelling on the topic given, i finally found the movie that actually portrays this word "KINDNESS", not just kindness but with other beautiful qualities like:

   - FRIENDSHIP
   - CONFIDENCE
   - LOVE
   - TOLERANCE and so on...

The movie that most represents kindness to me is non other than the famous 2006 movie :

                AKEELAH AND THE BEE...

This is a movie about AKEELAH ANDERSON, an 11-year-old girl from South Los Angeles, despite the bullying from classmates, objections from her mother (Tanya), enters a series of spelling bee contests, for which she was tutored by a great man Dr. Larabee...

Akeelah's brilliancy earns her an opportunity to compete for a spot in the SCRIPPS NATIONAL SPELLING BEE and in turn unites her loved ones who witness the courage and inspiration of an amazing young girl....

In this movie, she went through a lot from friends, family and classmates but irrespective of the bullying and intimidation, she never lost courage...with the help of father's memory and her best friend, she took upon herself to make her school great irrespective of how she was treated, she showed kindness, courage, love and inspiration by participating in the national spelling bee consisting of other BRAINIACS from different locations....

" OUR DEEPEST FEAR IS NOT THAT WE ARE INADEQUATE.
  OUR DEEPEST FEAR IS THAT WE ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE"

  WE ASK OURSELVES, WHO AM I TO BE BRILLIANT, GORGEOUS, TALENTED, FABULOUS???
   ACTUALLY, WHO ARE YOU NOT TO BE?????

The quotes above are what i love most in the movie, the speed at which akeelah memorises the words, her determination, kindness and courage are also included...

The scenes that still remains fresh in my head was when akeelah overheard dylan and his father's conversation regarding a must winning for him and she decides to loose intentionally for Dylan to win, upon knowing that Akeelah intentionally misspelt the word, he also missed his own question and they ended up a tie and was made to spell under given seconds...

The number of words spelt correctly will determine the winner in given seconds...that part was my favorite scene...
The most interesting part of the movie was when dylan and akeelah started enjoying each others company and became friends even after he won second place in the spelling bee...

After watching the movie, i started reading the dictionary and since then i have been equipped with some of the hardest words in the dictionary, i now have ideas on the meanings and i am now very good in spellings....

The roles of each character was performed with utmost deligence, it was impeccable, they all played their roles well and it was outstanding....

The movie is quite well known by all...it is significant because, it shows a lot of things that needs to be corrected in the reality, how parents needs to support their children at all times, they should be there for them at all times, there shouldn't be racism of any sort...

In conclusion, Akeelah and the bee is movie that talks about courage, kindness and inspiration...
If you haven't seen this movie, you need to watch it and i guarantee you of loving it and enjoy it..Dont forget to watch with your children....
