Our 16th anniversary 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 (Eng-Esp)

On November 22, my husband and I celebrated 16 years of civil marriage and today, November 24, was our wedding and reception. Our anniversary date is always special for us and our family. My mom and brother keep sending us congratulatory messages, as do my brothers-in-law and sister-in-law 💖

Every year we like to prepare a special meal, look at pictures of our wedding and talk about the anecdotes of that day. You know that every wedding has its funny and particular moments 🤭

For this anniversary we were at my mom's house visiting them and taking the opportunity to do some errands we had pending. So it promised to be a nice anniversary.

The day started in a special way remembering some things from when we were sweethearts and our wedding day, like the song we danced to that night before the waltz and how nervous we were. We also talked about how fast these years have gone by and that if it keeps going this fast we will soon celebrate 20 years together with God's favor 🤩

That day we also had to go out to run some important errands in the city and in the evening we were planning to cook some delicious empanadas and prepare a tortica to celebrate with my mom and one of my brothers.

At night my mom went out for a while and when she came back she brought us this surprise cake that she had made especially for us. It was a very emotional and beautiful moment 🥺 We laughed at all the things my mom had to do to surprise us. Of course, the cake was delicious. We shared it and enjoyed it together. And, of course, we didn't fail to make the empanadas and the mojito to go with them (they were also special).

It was a wonderful evening with people we love deeply. And more importantly, we were able to think that, thanks to our God first of all, and also to love, affection, forgiveness, respect and mutual patience, we have been able to and will continue to shape our path together 💜

Este 22 de noviembre mi esposo y yo cumplimos 16 años de habernos casado por el civil y, tal día como hoy, 24 de noviembre, fue nuestra boda y recepción. La fecha de nuestro aniversario siempre es especial para nosotros y nuestra familia. Mi mamá y mi hermano no dejan de enviarnos un mensajito de felicitaciones, al igual que mis cuñados 💖

Cada año nos gusta preparar alguna comida especial, ver fotos de nuestro matrimonio y hablar de las anécdotas de ese día. Ya sabes que cada boda tiene sus momentos graciosos y particulares 🤭

Para este aniversario estuvimos en casa de mi mamá visitándolos y aprovechando de hacer varias diligencias que teníamos pendiente. Así que prometía ser un bonito aniversario.

El día empezó de forma especial recordando algunas cosas de cuando éramos novios y del día de nuestra boda, como la canción que bailamos esa noche antes del vals y lo nerviosos que estábamos. Además, hablamos de cuan rápido nos han pasado estos años y que si sigue así de rápido pronto celebraremos 20 años juntos con el favor de Dios 🤩

Ese día también tuvimos que salir a hacer varias diligencias importantes en la ciudad y en la noche pensábamos cocinar unas ricas empanadas y preparar una tortica para celebrar con mi mami y uno de mis hermanos.

Al llegar la noche mi mamá salió un rato y al volver nos trajo esta torta sorpresa que nos mandó a hacer especialmente para nosotros. Fue un momento muy emotivo y bonito 🥺 Nos reímos con todo lo que tuvo que hacer mi mamá para darnos la sorpresa. Por supuesto, la torta estaba deliciosa. La compartimos y disfrutamos juntos. Y, claro, no dejamos de hacer las empanadas y el mojito para acompañarlas (también estaban especiales).

Fue una noche maravillosa junto a seres que amamos profundamente. Y más importante aún es que pudimos pensar en que, gracias a nuestro Dios primeramente, y también al amor, el cariño, el perdón, el respeto y a la mucha paciencia mutua, hemos podido y seguiremos formando nuestro camino juntos 💜
