My non-silver italian lire collections

"There are two categories of people who need hobbies - sick people and well people. Hobbies are good cures for self-pity, idleness and loneliness - three great enemies of convalescents. For well people, hobbies are a preventive against overfatigue and many kinds of nervous ailments. In addition, oldsters who feel their usefulness slipping away may find they can continue to serve and possibly to earn by means of a hobby. Running a magazine stand or operating a small vegetable garden may keep a man in his seventies on his feet for years to come. Hobbies and long life go together. An avocation is good medicine for young and old."

This is really one of the reasons i always spend time with my collections right after a very stressful day from work. Aside from the sense of satisfaction i get by just simply holding them or reviewing their details or remembering its attached significant historical value, or just seeing its pure beauty, i could feel the sense of relief from a tiresome day from work becoming my sort of energizer and my recharge button.

Sharing you my non-silver italian lire which were bought not for investment purposes but out of their pure beauty it holds.

Beautiful coins.
I like Italian coins. They are all struck so well.
I have silver coins from Italy, Rome in particular... or the Vatican to be more exact.'
Nice collections, @pyschkrhoz.
