Hello, I would like to show you around my country - Bulgaria - The Wonderful Bridges.

In the past the bridges were a cave formed under the crumbling action of river waters. Over time, parts of it collapsed, forming the majestic marble bridges. The great bridge is about 15 m wide in the wider parts and almost 100 m long. It consists of three arches, the largest being 45 m high and 40 m wide. The small bridge is 200 m from the large one along the river - impassable, 60 m long, with a total height of 50 m, and the height of the arch is 30 m. There is also a very small third bridge after it, which is a cave in which the waters of the river flow. Ercupriya disappears, only to reappear after 3 km.

Hola, me gustaría enseñaros mi país - Bulgaria - Los maravillosos puentes.

A few years ago, my parents and I visited the Rhodope Mountains. My father was born in the small town of Rudozem, he grew up there and he was very keen to take us to where he used to play when he was little, to show us how the whole skycan be hidden with just one hand.

Travelling through the mountains we were able to visit a few notable sites with one of them being the Wonder Bridges.

They were some huge structures, as if carved by man's hand or by heavy machinery, but they are a natural phenomenon.

Examining the bridge itself, one can see various layers of rock mass as well as numerous niches. The walls appeared to be smoothed, without any jutting pieces of rock mass.

I was also impressed by the huge conifers around the bridges. There are probably some over 100 years old among them, given the width of their trunks.

I was extremely impressed with this visit of ours. Hopefully I'll be able to find the pictures of the other sights we were able to visit soon and show them to you!
