QOTW 10.7 || ARE ACTIVISTS WHO INCONVENIENCE THE GENERAL PUBLIC JUSTIFIED?

It's another week for a new question from the #Ecotrain community and I think I love questions like this 😁 because it's like a challenge for me and also to learn more from other people.

When the question came out two days ago, I decided to check through other people's contributions so I could come up with mine and yes, I got an idea from experience which I would love to narrate so we can all learn.

The Question; ARE ACTIVISTS WHO INCONVENIENCE THE GENERAL PUBLIC JUSTIFIED? is something we need to think about thoroughly and not just conclude that their actions can or cannot be justified when it comes to inconveniencing general public.

Who is the general public? Everyone including you and me.

Activists are people who campaign or rally around some kind of social change. The protest can be about political, environmental, racism change and so on. They come out with the use of placards trying to fight for everyone's rights.

Activists aren't doing that for themselves alone, but to benefits everyone. The result might not be sudden, but in years to come, they will look back to see the steps they took to bring such change. I would say activists are ordinary people who do extraordinary things just to please or favour everyone and they are the ones to be called "True heroes" because they are helping us to fight.

An experience in my hometown.

When I went home a month ago, my Dad was trying to fix some torn nets used to block the little garden they planted different plants and vegetables. He told me his reasons especially some goats coming to eat what they have planted.

It became a concern for everyone, not only our garden was affected, but every farm owned by people. They were so concerned and angered, that they decided to kill every goat that comes by to eat what they have worked for, but it wasn't solving any issue.
They came in group and marched over to the King's palace. They vented their anger and said their concerns. The king gave his verdict that everyone should start locking and tying their animals inside so that they won't try to eat their plants and vegetables.

He said whoever does not tie his or her animals and are found eating from people's farm and they are caught, he gave them permission to kill immediately.

The situation was inconveniencing everyone because goats were destroying their produce and they can't keep monitoring every second to check if there is any goats around.

But there are those who still find the rule inconveniencing because according to them, they can't keep tying goats in a place without allowing them to go out for fresh air or probably to look for grasses to eat. They were tired of looking for food while they have many things to do.

For me, in this type of situation, I wouldn't say the activist's action to report to the king is like inconveniencing others, especially those who feel they can't keep tying their animals and locking them up. At least, some enjoy the rule since their farm and produce won't be affected again.

Protests can't be done through social media alone, there is need to come out as a group to bring their issues to everyone especially to our leaders.
No one wants to inconvenience anybody, but it becomes such if the leaders aren't doing anything to grant their desires.

Talking about the issue of climate change, it is important to create awareness among people who aren't understanding anything, especially the ignorant and illiterate ones and should be done in an orderly manner so as not to cause inconveniences to others.

Their actions, thereby causing troubles or problems for the general public might be justified, that is if their mission is worth it.

We all want a better life and should live a sustainable life, but when things have gone worse since leaders and those in higher authorities are turning deaf ears to our petitions, the protest becomes a tough one which would definitely cause loss of many things for people.

Protests would definitely be done in a peaceful way when they are doing what the citizens want and not trying to deprive them of their rights to speech. We all have the rights to speak out and find solutions to issues that might affect us in the future.

Thanks for reading

😃😃 Yes, it was something that wasn´t funny because who would want to keep working hard and then some animals will come from nowhere to destroy their efforts? Lol
Thank God our king was a considerate being too. Now, the issue was solved in a peaceful way. Thank you ma.

An opinion is always represented by an opposing view.

Whatever the opinion, there will always be opposition. The important thing is to ensure that the decisions taken are implemented in accordance with social needs and without disturbing the masses.

A business cannot be allowed to spoil the health of tens of thousands of people just because it will make a profit! Or, all vehicles cannot be banned from traffic just because someone speeded in traffic and did not follow the rules!

You are very right. Some people will still not support an opinion because everyone cannot go in the same direction though
but protests should be done not to tamper with other people´s lives, but done in an orderly manner. Thanks for stopping by 😊

You are right, one thing about, rule is, some people may find it appropriate while some would not see it that way, in the case of goat going round destroying People's plants, some were happy about the rule set by the king, while some see it as inconvenience.
