A PLEASANT MOMENT WITH HIM

Yaaayyy, it's my #SublimeSunday again and it has been a glorious and pleasant moment with God today. I was glad when they say to me, "let's go to the house of the Lord".

The Service has already started with workers meeting at 7am and it ended at exactly 8am. I arrived in the Church at 7:55am and they are just rounding up with the workers meeting and when it was 8am, the Sunday School started.

The class was divided into three groups, my class is called Joy section and you can see me over there putting on a yellow dress with black turban on my head. The title of today's Sunday School was "Be thankful".

We were told the reasons and benefits of being thankful and the second lesson outline listed the dangers of those who do not show gratitude to others and especially God.

The service ended with some questions being asked from us and we closed the section at 9am.

We then moved to the next session which was the "Praise and Worship" moment.

When I am worshipping God, I don't want to be distracted at all but to align with Him so that my reasons for coming to Him will not be in vain. The session was for 30mins with dancing shoes going left and right. My favorite instrument (Talking Drum) was used and I was so happy showcasing my talent in dancing to my God.

Onto the next programme which was opening the service proper with prayers and we moved to singing from the hymns. We sang the song "Count your blessings name them one by one".

My best verse which I would want to enlighten us more on is;

Sincerely, while singing the song slowly and getting to verse 3 of the song, my mind was opened and I could really understand that very song and its meaning was known to me. Not that I haven't been singing the song before or not understanding the meaning, but singing it again with pure heart sent a goosebumps into me.

God has created us wonderfully and our times are so different in life. Many people, when they see others living in luxuries, having the best part in life. Storing up golds, wealth, properties etc but looking at themselves, they start to wonder why theirs is different. They look down on themselves and conclude God isn't on their sides anymore. They stop praying because of that.

Have you ever wondered that giving thanks to God with the little you have, is great and more than complaining over things you do not have? You should always count your blessings in life. Don't give up because of what others have and you do not have, when you learn to appreciate God for the little you have, you will see how things would turn out for you that will make you have in excess. Don't stop counting your blessings and name them one by one.

Then announcement was taken by our Mummy in the Lord and she called out the first timers in church.

The offering and tithes were collected and immediately, the choristers came out to sing their ministration.

Then, the Pastor mounted the pulpit and gave his words from God to us and also released some prayers for us through the week.

The Grace in fellowship was shared and everyone went home.
