Soothing relief of rainfall

Rain is what I love playing in right from childhood and despite all the warnings my mom does give me never to play in the rain, I couldn't help but play with raindrops every time it rains.

I don't know why but I always get attracted to it whenever it is raining, the sound and aroma of the rain make me feel different and whenever I talk about these things, people think of something I don't want to speak of.

Despite my love for rain, it makes me get really cold after playing in it and to save myself from shivering after the fun, I began to listen to mom's warning. I didn't stop completely though because I still play with raindrops.

We are approaching the rainy season gradually and I feel great about it. The rainy season is my favorite but living in a place like Nigeria would only make you love the rain when you are indoor. It is something else when you are outdoor because of the bad roads.

It rained heavily a few days ago and these images were captured during the rain. I never knew I was going to make use of the pictures but as I was looking at the heavy downpour from the balcony, I couldn't resist capturing the images.

My man always warned me about taking my phone out to snap while raining and even though there are times that I am always scared, I just can't hold myself back from taking pictures. The funny thing is that I capture almost the same thing but every picture has its difference for me.

In my present area where I am staying, we don't always have light every night so whenever I see the sign of rain I am always happy because I know that there won't be heat and I will be having a sound sleep.

There are nights it gets so hot that I always prayed for rain and now that the season is here, I will be free of heat rashes and burn from heat.

Everyone will agree with me that rain is beautiful thing. It is important whether we like it or not and the effect on both humans and nature is extraordinary. Rain brings relief to everything that exists in the world, plants, animals and even humans enjoy the soothing relief of those droplets.
Another thing I enjoy about the rain is its impact on farming. During the rainy season, we tend to buy things like vegetables cheaply and also fish directly from fishermen.

I planted some Basil plant two months ago and it wasn't growing. The stem is just standing on the ground without growing leaves on it but immediately the rain started, I could see some leaves on it and I have even plucked some out of it. The rain that fell last week made the leaves grow so faster because the rain was much and did help wet the ground very well.

I always wish to have superpowers that can make it rain any time of the year so we won't always wait till the rainy season before it rains. The ability to make it rain anytime will make a huge difference but I hope I won't cause harm to the ecosystem by interrupting the system of nature with my powers.
