Sesión de juegos de mesa #6 // Board game session #6

Otra semana jugando juegos de mesa con amigos. En esta ocasión solo se jugó 3 juegos, si bien ya conozco los títulos, se probaron expansiones y modos de juegos distintos. Detallo:

Another week playing board games with friends. This time only 3 games were played, although I already know the titles, we tried different expansions and game modes. I detail:

Scythe: The Rise of Fenris

El modo campaña del juego Scythe, se divide en bastantes capítulos, jugamos el 1ero. Scythe es uno de los mejores euros de los últimos años, es mi juego de mesa preferido con Concordia. Los jugadores manejan diversas facciones en busca de obtener logros que van de conseguir todos tus trabajadores, ganar batallas, construir tus monumentos, etc; a la vez, que buscas desplegarte en el tablero como obtener la mayor cantidad de monedas.

The campaign mode of the game Scythe, is divided into several chapters, we played the 1st one. Scythe is one of the best euros of the last years, it is my favorite board game with Concordia. Players manage various factions in search of achievements ranging from getting all your workers, winning battles, building your monuments, etc.; at the same time, you seek to deploy yourself on the board as you get the most coins.

El modo campaña mantiene la parte competitiva, la diferencia es que en cada capítulo aparte de ponerle variaciones al juego, los resultados que genere, afectarán la resolución final de la campaña. Creo que deberemos intentar hacer 2 capítulos por sesión para disfrutar mejor la experiencia.

The campaign mode maintains the competitive part, the difference is that in each chapter, apart from adding variations to the game, the results generated will affect the final resolution of the campaign. I think we should try to do 2 chapters per session to better enjoy the experience.

2da vez que pruebo este juego, y esta ocasión hice un buen papel, quedando 2do. El juego como mencione en mi anterior sesión, que bajo esa fachada de gatos graciosos, guarda un juego estratégico, en que hay muchos factores a considerar como que gatos comprar, que cartas pasar en el draft, que objetivos intentar realizar, etc.

The game as I mentioned in my previous session, that under that facade of funny cats, keeps a strategic game, in which there are many factors to consider such as which cats to buy, what cards to pass in the draft, what objectives to try to achieve, etc.

Tal vez su punto negativo, es que hay cartas que realmente parecen inutilizables, como pergaminos con objetivos muy particulares, siento que debe mejorar el equilibrio, para que las cartas sean utilizables aun en fases finales del juego.

Perhaps its negative point, is that there are cards that really seem unusable, such as scrolls with very particular objectives, I feel that the balance should be improved, so that the cards are usable even in late stages of the game.

De todas maneras fue una divertida partida.

Anyway it was a fun game.

Viticulture with Tuscany expansion

Viticulture nos pone en el papel de productores de vino, en donde manejaremos todo el proceso de producción de vino, desde plantar la vid, transformarla en vino, construir almacenes, contratar más trabajadores, financiarse y usar cartas con diversos beneficios. Se define principalmente como un worker placement. La expansión Tuscany le añade mucho al juego base, como que cada estación del año se jugará de manera separada e incluso un minijuego de estrellas.

Viticulture puts us in the role of wine producers, where we will manage the whole process of wine production, from planting the vine, transforming it into wine, building warehouses, hiring more workers, financing and using cards with various benefits. It is defined mainly as a worker placement. The Tuscany expansion adds a lot to the base game, as each season of the year will be played separately and even a mini-game of stars.

Fue una partida muy cerrada, en donde no conseguí la victoria por 1 punto. En mi caso, considero que esta expansión mejora el juego base por mucho, y a mi parecer, es un imprescindible para futuras partidas.

It was a very close game, where I missed the victory by 1 point. In my case, I consider that this expansion improves the base game by far, and in my opinion, it is a must for future sessions with this game.
