Greeting to you all, I am glad to be part of this great family, secondly i feel so good to see other ladies doing their best to encourage and empower each other.

the image is mine

I must say that am privilege to be a lady, and being here is a plus to me, This is about my third post in the blockchain and the very first in the #ladiesofhive community.

So glad to see that the community contest has been ongoing for a long time on the blockchain, it really got my attention considering the for the week contest on the LOH contest #105

If Hive were a dish (food), what would it be and why do you say so?

This became very interesting to me as a cook and also with my little experience on the hive blockchain, So i will be giving my entry to LOH #105 contest.

I will say that if hive were to be dish food, it will definitely be Ekang Nkukwo, This my best meal as far as my local and popular delicacies are concern, This food is known within the Cross River and Akwa Ibom State region of the south-south Nigeria, west Africa. It is one meal that if you eat it once you will want to eat it again and again, the food is so, so delicious. comparing that with hive, it is for me one of the best place to ever be, here on the hive blockchain, you meet with amazing set of persons, you learn things you would never know, so with the things you learn, you will always want to be on hive always and again.

Now the few photos you are have below, are to show you the preparation process of the this amazing meal, Ekang Nkukwo, it is made of cocoyam and water yam, the experience gain on hive can be likened to the experienced gain while preparing this meal. the meal demands time, diligence, commitment and dedication and this are a few of the demands of hive, that must be engaged for effective result either as a content creator or as a content curator.

For this meal to be prepared, you really need time to get it done, You will start by Peeling the cocoyam and water yam, wash it thoroughly and slice it vertically into halves as you desire, to enhance easy grating, which will be done by the manual grater., after which you will carefully mixed them together into a bow.

sources

This is what you will have, and as you can see, this will take time to get this done.

This second part is also time consuming and as well demands diligence. at this point you will use vegetables to carefully wrap the mixture in small long sizes, you will also give attention to the details of the food preparation, so as to get the desired result.

Hive is a platform that is well structured with roles and instructions, which really needs careful attention, if you careless over the hive rules, then you will be out of function, you will need to diligently look out for the rules of each community, to enhance effectiveness.

You also will need to know when you can and should bring in other ingredients, at this point you will bring in a few of them, like the smock fish, Cray fish, periwinkle, Red oil and others, then you continue wrapping the mixture into the pot, when you are done, wrapping then you put it on the low heating effect, add little quantity of water and allow it to steam for a while, Remember that it was vegetables that was used to wrap it so you carefully turn it, if you turn it much, the wraps will scatter,

If you allow the heat to go high, you will get the food burnt and you will not enjoy the food because of the burnt flavor,

sources

This is what it will look like before turning it, then cover it for a while then take it off the heat and dish it for the meal time proper. I love to say that you don't eat ekpang nkukwo by wishing but by deliberate engagement.

Hive is a home for all but you must be determined to give in the required time, diligence, commitment and dedication to make it work, Take for instance, i have learnt that for you to succeed on hive, you will have to effectively engage your community by following people, making constructive comments and create original and quality content to be able to get your desired upvotes.

A big thank you to the community admin, for such a creative idea, please do well to stop by to give your input, I invit @enwongoabasi, @joyfullheart, @kingswill and @peckypeace to join in the contest, lets engage, its your girl @preshdishes. God bless you all

I agree with you when you mentioned that to make the dish, it "demands time, diligence, commitment and dedication" and these are definitely needed here on Hive. We need to spare time and have patience and have fun in the process.
