Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary day and the stepping continued unabated. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news, The first match of the world cup kicked off and I watched the first half, more on that later. I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹., politicians attended church services with the same usual talk.
Globally, Qatar trending with a spectacular and elaborate opening ceremony. It's the first time that the world cup is being held in the gulf. It's twelve years since Qatar was selected and today was D-Day. The Emir, Sheikh Tamim gave a short speech before the first game. Unfortunately, Qatar was beaten by Ecuador in the very first game. It looks like its going to be an exciting tournament.
Elsewhere in Malaysia, after Saturdays election there seems to be no clear winner,🙀, so political parties are holding negotiations to form a ruling coalition. Meanwhile polls have closed in Kazakhstan's snap presidential elections. May the best candidate win 💯.
Across, the pond in the US, reports of a deranged shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado🙀. Probably a hate crime that left five dead and many injured. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭.
Finally, at the COP27 summit, a fund for loss and damage has been established 👋. This to help compensate vulnerable countries against unfavourable climatic conditions.
