ANY SURPRISES SO FAR FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

I would say yeah but the result speaks for itself. Out of the 8 matches yesterday
four speak louder than words. The winners have one foot inside to complete the round. Everything is not done and clear so far. As always it is just one match. The group has four team so each team will try to win three games if not two.

Manchester United did play fat. Just one goal from CR7 in the first half. Young Boys did play them head to head. Statistically they deserve the win on paper. When they give you opportunity you take it hands down. At least they have CR7 that can score for them, hopefully playing better defense could help.

Bayern smelled blood and they took care of Barca. You can feel the team is in disarray. I need to watch how La Liga is treating Barca lately. Messi-less Barca feels really weird lately. I am wondering if they will qualify for UEFA next season. Bayern as always was playing tuned Football. This is a team if you are not ready to play, they will help you get off the field quick.

Juventus continues moving forward CR7-less. Malmo, not up to the task for allowing three goals just in first half. Juventus is feeling the hole of CR7 but they have great players that can fill the void the minute they believe they can.

Chelsea somehow scored one goal to pass on Zenit. Lukaku is the man of the moment. So far he is scoring every time they need a goal. A shy win is what Chelsea does most of the time. If you are looking for a lot of goals, Chelsea is not poised to do so.

Looking at each stage all the way to December, there are some great matches before round of 16. What do you say another Messi vs CR7 in the Champions League? More meeting today to settle stage 1. Real, City, Liverpool. Paris, Inter and then there is a Sheriff in town.
How is your team doing so far?

No real shocks last night really as United lost but that is how fragile their team is in many ways. Cracks are still there and the fans are blind to what they really have. Lingard was a failure before and they bought him back thinking he is still brilliant. I can see another trophy less season for them this year. Chelsea relying heavily on Lukaku at the moment and they need to get goals from other sources as well. Barca are in serious trouble and that is not a shock either as they are going out in the opening round of Champions League this year and the big question is will they qualify for next season?

Well said. It is hard for Lingard coming back and caused the team to lose. This is like a stigma for him.
I know they will advance and play better.
It will be harder but they will come back.

Chelsea is somehow weird putting all the eggs on Lukaku. It feels like they are waiting for him to do it all.
Barca, Barca, Barca.

United still tops the surprise of the night because I expected Bayern to beat Barca even though not by 3 goals margin. Barcelona would still qualify from the group though and I don't think they can still win the second leg when the time comes though.

I am a fan of F.C Barcelona and Tuesday was to be expected Koeman has a lot of work ahead of him and as he says without Messi it is strange the favorites started with the right foot except ManU who had a surprise defeat but the most surprising story is that of the Sheriff a modest team but wanting to dream big.
