Continúa... la historia 8 de mayo de 2022: Diagnóstico reservado

Angustiado, caminaba de un lado a otro del pasillo. Era el único que esperaba por noticias de su esposa. Las horas pasaban y ninguna enfermera sabía darle razón de cómo iba la cirugía. Por momentos pensó en ponerse una bata y entrar a trompicones al quirófano para ver qué pasaba. Para colmo, su suegra hizo entrada por una de las puertas, su cara, como siempre, aseguraba una buena discusión y varios regaños inmerecidos…

―¡Caramba Alfredo! He estado llamando a tu teléfono, para preguntar si ya había comenzado la operación de Sofía y no me pude comunicar. ¿Qué ha pasado? ¿Te han dicho algo?

―¡Todavía nada! Entran y salen enfermeras y médicos por esa puerta y no me dicen nada. ¡Estoy preocupado! Me habían dicho que era una operación muy rápida, que le iban a hacer una biopsia y luego a extraerle ese tumor, a lo mejor tuvieron algunas complicaciones.

―¡No pienses tan negativo!, hay que tener fe. Los médicos sabrán que hacer y nosotros tenemos que esperar con calma.

―Esa protuberancia que tiene Sofía en la espalda no es nada normal, ni siquiera con una radiografía pudieron saber que es. Es que tu hija es muy terca, yo le dije que viniera al médico con tiempo, que esa cosa que tiene en su cuerpo estaba creciendo muy rápido y además hasta el carácter le ha cambiado, ya no parece la misma muchacha alegre y tierna con quien me case. Esta muy agresiva, por todo discute. El colmo fue cuando agarro a nuestro gato y lo estaba apretando, el pobre minino estaba tan asustado que se fue de la casa. Mi amiga Cristina @actioncats lo encontró y lo tiene en su casa.

En ese momento uno de los médicos sale del quirófano a toda prisa y corre hasta la vigilancia del hospital y le da instrucciones al personal de guardia. Enseguida entran unos hombres vestidos con equipo de seguridad, y sacan a Sofía en una camilla, envuelta en una bolsa completamente sellada.

―¡Sofía! ¡Sofía! ¿Qué está pasando, a donde la llevan?―grita Alfredo desesperado, mientras dos vigilantes lo apartan de la camilla donde se llevan a su esposa muerta.

La mamá de Sofía, palidece y se desmaya. Su cuerpo cae al suelo haciendo un sonido seco puf. Su sombrero sale volando y cae debajo de las sillas de la sala de espera.

Las puertas del hospital se cierran y por los parlantes comienza a enviarse un mensaje.

Se notifica a todas las personas, que se ha iniciado el protocolo de seguridad por la presencia de un organismo letal no identificado, ninguna persona puede entrar ni salir, hasta nuevo aviso.

At that moment one of the doctors came out of the operating room in a hurry and ran to the hospital security and gave instructions to the staff on duty. Immediately some men dressed in security equipment come in and take Sofia out on a stretcher, wrapped in a completely sealed bag.

"¡Sofía! ¡Sofia! What is happening, where are they taking her," Alfredo shouts in desperation, as two guards pull him away from the stretcher where his dead wife is being taken.

Sofia's mother becomes pale, dizzy and faints. Her body falls to the floor making a dry poof sound and the hat flies off and falls under the chairs in the waiting room.

The hospital doors close and at this moment And through the loudspeakers, a message begins to be sent.
