There are times in life, where the situations are connected, they do not happen randomly, as it happened to me, when I met a charming young woman, in a slightly embarrassing moment. I had lost my documents just at the time I had to catch a plane. I had to be in a city that was a 4-hour flight away to take photos at a wedding. I don't know where I lost them, I had them in an envelope as I usually do when I go on trips and there I also kept some rolls of film.

And there I was, at the airline ticket office, arguing with the employee, a woman of about 40 years old, with brown hair, tied up in a bun, wearing her blue uniform, on whose identification plate you could read Marlene Diaz, employee. This ruthless woman with the rules, insensitive to the needs, did not want to give me alternatives to be able to travel that day.

"I'm sorry Mr. Ronald Gonzalez, without your ID I can't give you the boarding pass. You have to go to the main office of the travel agency to solve this problem".

"Please understand that this way I am going to miss the flight and the next one leaves tomorrow and it will not give me time to get to the wedding where I have to work. If you could help me, I would really appreciate it". My face tried to appear calm that I didn't feel and with all the sympathy that I knew I could inspire women, I smiled hoping to ingratiate myself with the employee.

"I can't do anything for you, that is something that is beyond my powers and you will not expect me to go above and beyond the rules. And please, I appreciate you stepping back so the people in the queue can board the plane".

I felt powerless, that woman could not be more hateful.

At that moment I heard a very sweet voice but at the same time very firm and I turned to see who it came from.

A young woman with light brown hair, wearing glasses, who was behind me in line, started arguing with the employeethe.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but I think you could somehow solve the passenger problem. Your data should appear in the system, you just have to confirm it".

"I've already told him that can't be done, and the look he gave her was withering".

"That only shows that you are not only insensitive but also inefficient".

"I don't know why you get involved in this problem, it is not yours or maybe you know this person?. What she is achieving is the delay of others" and when she said this she looked at the other people who were waiting impatiently, "you don't think so?".

"It's true! They are delaying us", shouted a tall man, with an expression of annoyance on his face. "We also want to reach our destination, we are all in a hurry".

"If it's true, we want to leave, my baby is already tired and he's going to get hungry, please, sir, be considerate of others", was the expression of a young mother, with a tired face, who was holding her child in her arms.

"If you allow me". said the young woman, taking an ID out of her wallet, and showing it. "We're going to solve this quickly. Please look for the data of the person who bought the ticket and confirm it with the ones he is giving you and give the boarding pass to this man".

Mrs. Marlene nervously did as the young woman, the airline's sales manager, told her. And at that moment everything returned to normal.

I was amazed at the events and looked for the young woman, to thank her. I found her minutes later getting on the plane, she sat next to me and introduced herself as Mariangel Espinoza. I thanked her for what he had done to help me. Talking during the trip we realized that she and I were going to the same wedding. His sister was the person getting married. Coincidences of life?

I was glad that all the hassle that had arisen at the airport due to the loss of my documents had given me the opportunity to meet my future wife, and what's more, I even thank Mrs. Marlene for having acted in the way she did, otherwise events would have been different. She had an experience at her job that helped her be not only a better employee but also a better person.
