The most beautiful village on Lanzarote
Hello friends, it's a pleasure for me to write another post in this community, in fact just this morning I exchanged my hive dollars to buy new hives, and upgrade my hive power to be able to curate the posts in this community and interact even more between members.
I think this is the most important thing is for a community, mutual support.
Coming back to us, today I want to tell you about a beautiful place that I visited again last year comma and just yesterday I found the photos and looked at them again, it is a beautiful village very populous because it has about 50,000 inhabitants, which is located in the Canary Islands, these beautiful Spanish islands close to Africa, on the island of Lanzarote.
This is Arrecife!!!
What impressed me most about this small town, also a quiet port town on the east coast of the island, is that it is also the capital of the island of Lanzarote.
The first thing I visited was one of the city's main churches, unfortunately I don't remember the name, but I loved it because it is the classic Spanish church that we also find in Madrid for example, well kept inside it is very simple as I like it
In terms of tourism, I must say that they are very organised, because I went to the tourist office near the port and they were able to give me a lot of useful information not only for visiting the city but also for visiting the whole island of Lanzarote.
The harbour, as you can see from the pictures, is very nice, it is very well maintained, I liked the many palm trees along the promenade, and it is really impressive from the volcanic rock that is near the harbour quay, Lanzarote being a volcanic island.
It also made a certain impression on me, seeing the modern houses built on top of these lava rocks, in fact I also thought the beach was all rocky instead I found a sandy beach.
I was impressed during my visit by the 'Castillo de San Gabriel', this imposing stone fortress still built by the Spaniards in the 1500s, more because of where it was located because it is completely surrounded by the sea comma and so you have to reach it via a narrow bridge, I did not have time to visit the inside but I was told that there is a museum there, with cannons and weapons of the time.
By the way, admission to the museum is completely free of charge, it seems to me that you only need to leave a small donation to the volunteers who run this museum.
My story ends here, I hope you have found this post I wrote interesting, if you have the chance visit this country because it is really worth it, as soon as I have the chance I will definitely return to the Canary Islands.
