Weekend-Engagement : Artificial Lake in Langsa City Protected Forest Park

Hello Weekend Experience friends, may God always bless us all! Greetings to the entire team, members and stakeholders in this beloved community.

This weekend I want to invite you to tour one of the tourist destinations in the city of Langsa, Aceh. This tourist destination is about 3 hours away from the city of Lhokseumawe by motorbike.

I went to this place by motorbike, tracing the national causeway in hot weather. But I always enjoy every trip that always gives me impressions, new experiences and very valuable life lessons.

I am fortunate to have a motorbike that I can use to get around and fulfill my desires to some beautiful places. If I'm going for a long distance, I'll usually leave in the morning, that'll leave time for me to enjoy the sights until just before nightfall.

Usually I travel in one trip, that is, go and return on the same day before the evening. I rarely stay overnight, unless it's a really long trip.

When traveling that can be done on a day trip, I can save money, usually only for fuel, food and ticket costs to tourist sites. If we stay overnight it will cost more, and I save as much as possible, but can be satisfied enjoying the moment at a tourist location.

Arriving in downtown Langsa, to get to this tourist destination, we only need about 15 minutes from the national road. To go to this tourist location, the road is paved, so it's easier to access either by motorcycle or by car.

This is one of the tourist destinations in the Langsa City Protected Forest area. To enter this area, I pay an entrance ticket of IDR 10K.

From the entrance gate, I headed to the parking area, here there is a large parking area available, both for motorbikes and cars. This protected forest area is the center of the air lungs that provide oxygen in the city center.

This forest area is very wide, there are various types of trees that have grown towering. Here, there are also a number of tourist rides that can be enjoyed by tourists.

One of the spots that caught my attention the most was the artificial lake area, or what is called the Aceh Traditional House area, the Langsa City Protected Forest. Because indeed, in the middle of this artificial lake there is an Acehnese traditional house and cafe.

To explore this artificial lake area, they have made a long road wall leading to the middle of the lake towards the traditional house. This artificial lake is very wide, this area was excavated using heavy equipment cars with a depth of up to 5 meters.

The color of the lake water looks very clear, because the water here is actually rainwater. This lake area has a clay texture that can hold water, so it doesn't run out quickly.

On weekends, the walled street area in the middle of the lake is always full of tourists taking selfies. On the other hand, when we are here we can see the sunset and evening is the best time to find it.

A number of speedboats and water games such as rowing boats have been provided and can be rented by tourists. The rental price is relatively cheap, starting from IDR 50K - IDR 100K.

Tourists can get around the lake by speedboat or by rowing boat. For safety while traveling around the water area on the lake, passengers have been given life jackets for safety.

Meanwhile, when we are in the road area in the middle of the lake, we can enjoy and see the speedboats rotating in the lake area. No less interesting, we can also enjoy a number of spots for taking selfies here for free with a beautiful background of the lake, sun and clouds.

When I'm here, I feel the sensation of traveling out of town, because rides like this don't yet exist in my area. The beauty of the artificial lake with clear water is so pleasing to the eye, the concrete road area leading to the middle of the lake is also quite interesting because it was built with an aesthetic design.

I hope that this artificial lake will continue to be cared for and maintained properly for its amazing beauty and charm. Hopefully the visitors will also have a sense of sensitivity and awareness not to throw garbage into the lake and maintain the existing facilities with full respect.

I am very happy to be able to share this article with you, I hope you like my weekend story. I appreciate your support and empathy for my posts ♥️

Artificial lake? It's my first time hearing an artificial lake. It is amazing as it looks like real. The effort exerted on making this is really amazing as it so deep and wide.
