🥇 Alcan Highway Adventure Day 16: Denali Road, The US by @corvidae

Sunday, August 14th, 2022. Denali National Park, Alaska. Pilot and I wake up to a beautiful, rainless morning. Take a short walk to the river, have coffee, and breakfast at the campsite, then head out. There's a hiking trail just down the road. We get out and stroll through the majestic valley. As it turns out, dogs are not allowed on the trails, a despicable aspect of American National Parks that I had forgotten about. It's an easy hike, a loop of less than a mile. I pretend not to see the sign. I get a mild chiding from a woman who says she left her dog in the car. I feign innocence, smile, and keep going. Pilot's a good kid, and I am a responsible dog mama. We won't hurt anything in the next ten minutes of rebellious rule-breaking.

🥈 The return, Emerald Lake, Yoho National Park, The US by @ladyrainbow

What's up fellow travelers, hikers and mountain lovers! A few of you already found me out and I know you have been waiting for one of these yet I keep posting that other crap!! What gives? I'm finally giving in, time to give the people what they want and been waiting for. Lets see how many more will discover my little secret. A few years back, I had gone on a quick day trip to Emerald Lake and took a hike around the most beautiful vivid emerald color lake we are familiar with all over the Canadian Rockies.

🥉 A pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, Tappiya Falls, Batad, The Philippines by @patsitivity

An escape from reality. I am not the type of traveler who intends to go back to the places I once visited. For someone whose goal is to travel all the Provinces of the Philippines, it's just not practical to keep coming back to the same place. I am not rich yet but I have a goal so I had to make sure I find the right mix of my dreams and my resources. That's why I'm grateful that every time my friends/boyfriend and I talked about traveling, they were kind enough to consider this.
