Coffee Hide And Seek

I stand contemplatively in my favorite area at home. I got a cup of the most expensive and exclusive coffee in the world. When my cup was empty, I went to the coffee corner, and I discovered that a household member had hidden my coffee away.

It seems that I have fallen in love with this luxurious coffee. It is the Black Ivory Coffee that costs 2,500 dollars per kilogram. I worked hard to buy it by saving a penny for a year to have it. And now, it vanished in an instant. Where did it go?

I considered leaving straight away, but the circumstance was uncomfortable enough. There had never really been a good reason for me to stop drinking coffee. Therefore I could not recall the grounds to stop me either but not now that my most wanted coffee is lost.

“Who the hell are you? How dare you hide my favorite coffee? I will know you one day, and I will let you feel more than what I feel today.” I talked to myself angrily and felt broke.

Meanwhile, I searched the whole house to find my favorite Black Ivory coffee. I was the only one left in the place, so I could freely enter every room and open every storage.

While I was going the path through my brother’s room, I found a mysterious letter. It was not my intention to read it, but something caught my attention to open it consciously.

It says in part, "Yes, I'll accept the offer, and I’ll go with the deal of two pounds. Let's get together at Cafe XYZ at noon.”

I checked the clock a thousand times, and my heart was beating fast, my palm was sweaty, and I was starting to think that my brother had hidden my Black Ivory Coffee intending to sell it per kilogram.

Rushing into the already crowded space of Cafe XYZ, the barista nervously glanced at me in a queue as I peered over her shoulder to help me look for my brother with an impatient voice.

She nodded, doing her best to conceal the relief at having a cause to leave the corner, and she moved all around the cafe to look for my brother. But she was not able to find even a shadow of him.

A man in a sharp black suit entered the establishment while toting a black briefcase. He placed an order, picked up his coffee, and sat at the table. He seemed to be keeping an eye out for someone.

My nerves were beginning to calm down, thinking that he would be dealing with my brother and that I could get my coffee just before the deal.

One mom sat with her son at a table. The mother clicked her tongue in disapproval as the son waved his hands and spoke animatedly. Another man enters with a black wallet while sporting a black hood. I tilt my neck to get a better look, but a black apron obstructs my vision.

Meanwhile, the barista was in front of me with a sizable cup of coffee at the top and arrived before I could, which left me with raised eyebrows and a slight sense of disappointment for not helping me find my brother.

Everyone in the coffee shop turned away from their phones, computers, and newspapers to give me a disapproving glance. I apologized and grinned back at them while squirming wildly.

I lost hope. My coffee was gone. It took me more than two hours to wait at the cafe, but I did not see a glimpse of my brother. Big shapes of teardrops fall from my eyes.

It was so heartbreaking. It was so hard to lose something, especially from hard-earned money. I need 12 months more to repurchase it.

I then hastened back home. "I'll let you experience my worst emotions. It is the saddest and hardest."

I headed to my brother’s room to look for his favorite asset. I opened his closet, and I found a brand-new Grandmaster chime luxury watch that her wealthy best friend had given to him.

I knew how important the watch was for him, aside from being the most expensive watch. I do not have the plan to sell it, too, as he did, but I just let him feel the worst feeling for losing it in a blink.

When my brother arrived, I pretended to be okay. I did not even say a word. “Please tell mom I will not be coming home tonight. I will be attending the Bachelor’s night.”

Before leaving the house for the special night, he looked for his watch. What happened to my watch? He was constantly opening the storage and closets, and I could hear him getting quite upset.

He broke all the glasses because he was furious. It took him more than two hours to look for it, and he felt broke that he had lost the most expensive watch in the world.

I entered his room and talked to him. How does it feel to lose the most priceless item? I was direct in my inquiry.

I started being emotional with him that I lost the most expensive coffee I got from hard-earned money. I cried with a heavy heart.

“I am so sorry, sister. I had hidden your coffee because its price blinded me. But it was not a successful deal.”

The mom at the cafe saw your name on the package of the Black Ivory coffee. She covers them with her fingers and says, "Spill something beautiful," in a slow, steady voice. Her thick accent draws me in and makes me feel guilty for what I did.

After he had confessed, I told him that I had got his most expensive watch. We were both emotional and ended up hugging each other. My Black Ivory Coffee was retrieved, and he had his Grandmaster Chime Watch.

Isn’t it weird how most families actually stick together and only need a pointer in the right direction if they err - the hugging 🤗 was lovely 😊

Yes, break-even that it is, dear milly, hehe. I cannot afford to torture my brother in the story. So I’d rather make him feel the worst feeling for losing his most favorite treasure. Thank you so much for the wonderful remarks and have a wonderful day. !PIZZA

This seemed to be a challenge for both brothers, but everything worked out well in the end. I liked the great adventure you described during the panorama.

Heheh, purely out of imagination Uncle. How great that coffee is at 2.5 dollars per kilogram. But I’d always stick to my favorite latte. Thanks for dropping by Tito Ed. Very much appreciated. Keep safe.

I can totally understand loosing something that's of great value to you. that coffee meant a lot to her apparently. I loved this. We should be content with what we have and that says a lot about the brother.

It is hard to let go when we value a thing the most. She was broke for losing the coffee from hard-earned money. But at the end, it was break-even and not torture revenge. Thank you so much for your time dear, dera.

So if at all the mom at the cafe had not found your name on the package he'd have sold it off huh? His watch would have been good as gone as well but good thing the good lady stood in the gap with her thick charming accent. Lol.
I can totally to the pain of losing something precious, it messes up a person's day.

We would always wish it did not happen my friend. Still, both were happy for having back the most precious item. It is actually learning lessons the gardeat way, hehe. Good thing it was not sold to the mom and he was so gentle and reflective. Grateful of your attention dear and beat regards.
