To be like a reed I long

Image
To be like a reed I long,
a firefly, an ampho,
the smell of the earth of the field,
a twilight of summer.
I love you like the dew
that falls in tender corolla,
like that delicate wave
of the sea at low tide.
You are my shining jewel
that adorns my soul alone.
You are my songbird,
trill of my dawns,
illuminated star
you decorate my heart.
The lily that May gilds,
with rays of spring,
my delicate stairway
that leads me to your breath.
From your eyes I feed
aromas of vine.
How your tenderness comes to the surface
in joy or sorrow,
shining serene mind,
of the moon, embroiderer.
And I adore you as angels adore
the little angels adore God,
and I am enchanted by your voice
of goldfinch in the dawn.
You will always be beloved,
we are and will be two.
I move through the crowd,
in a garden of butterflies,
and the most beautiful flowers
I offer them to you my love.
The current to the gentle river
opens its channel of love,
little fishes of color
of the sky bubble in your soul.
In my landscape you are a palm tree
and I am the wind in your candor.
