Hi I introduce myself, I'm Sophia Carrillo better known in the networks as Piart and it was my friend @hozcarl who taught me this great platform.
I've been an illustrator for 2 years, although since I was little I've loved to draw and express my feelings through art.
Hola me presento, soy Sophia Carrillo mejor conocida en las redes como Piart y fue mi amigo @hozcarl quien me enseñó esta gran plataforma.
Soy ilustradora desde hace 2 años, aunque desde pequeña me ha encantado dibujar y expresar mis sentimientos por medio del arte.
I started like many artists learning with traditional media, I did drawing and painting courses where I was improving, acquiring techniques and knowledge; eventually I started with digital illustration because it was what most caught my attention.
Comencé como muchos artistas aprendiendo con medios tradicionales, hice cursos de dibujo y pintura dónde fui mejorando, adquiriendo técnicas y conocimientos; con el tiempo empecé con la Ilustración digital porque era lo que más me llamaba la atención.
In 2020 I made my first digital drawing, I did it with a mouse because at that time I didn't have a graphic tablet. At the time I was very excited about the result, although looking at it now I'm a little sad haha.
En 2020 realicé mi primer dibujo en digital, lo hice con mouse ya que en ese tiempo no contaba con una tableta gráfica. En su momento me emocioné mucho por el resultado, aunque viéndolo ahora me da un poco de pena jaja.

With a lot of work and gathering almost everything I earned I managed to buy my first graphic tablet and from then on everything has been learning and discoveries. I'm very proud to see how my style has evolved over time and how it has improved to become what it is today.
Con mucho trabajo y reuniendo casi todo lo que ganaba conseguí comprar mi primera tableta gráfica y ya de ahí todo ha sido aprendizaje y descubrimientos. Estoy muy orgullosa de ver cómo mi estilo ha evolucionado con el paso del tiempo y cómo ha ido mejorando hasta convertirse en lo que es hoy.
The things that inspire me to create are books and music, since in both I can go to other worlds that awaken my imagination. I also consider myself a very curious person who is always looking to learn and discover new things.
Las cosas que me inspiran para crear son los libros y la música, ya que en ambos puedo ir a otros mundos que despiertan mi imaginación. También me considero una persona muy curiosa que siempre está buscando aprender y descubrir cosas nuevas.
My style could be described as cartoon and a little bit influenced by anime, although I'm constantly changing things to experiment and improve little by little.
Mi estilo podría describirse como cartoon y un poco influenciado por el anime, aunque constantemente estoy cambiando cosas para experimentar e ir mejorando poco a poco.

So far I've had some commission work, but my goal is to live 100% from illustration and especially to enter the world of editorial illustration. It is a very big dream to be able to work illustrating books since I would be combining two things that I am very passionate about. I know it's a difficult path but I work every day to achieve it.
Hasta ahora he tenido algunos trabajos de comisiones, pero mi meta es vivir 100% de la ilustración y, en especial entrar en el mundo de la Ilustración editorial. Es un sueño muy grande poder trabajar ilustrando libros ya que estaría combinando dos cosas que me apasionan demasiado. Sé que es un camino difícil pero trabajo cada día para conseguirlo.
