RE: People With Money Are Welcome

I think this trend / lifestyle of digital (crypto) nomads will only grow stronger in future and I cannot wait to see more countries offering these long term visas. When we lived in Mexico, we could stay for six months and then had to do what the nomads call the "visa run". Having to do this every 3 months or even every month can get quite annoying (and expensive). Being able to live freely where you want for a year or even years must be amazing. Out of the countries that participated in that Bitcoin Conference, Costa Rica would be my pick. I love everything about this country :)

I know those tactics, that's what people do in EU as well, I mean EU citizens, living in another country. I think you are only allowed to stay for 3 months. It's doable when you live close to the border, but traveling hundreds of kilometers or flying can be tiring.

I know less about Costa Rica country and what I know is not exactly good. I know Costa Rica has no extradition agreement with my country and that's where the most honest politicians/fraudsters are going :)

I know what you mean, our fraudsters use these locations too, mostly certain little island countries in the Caribbean ;)

Well, I only spent some 2 weeks in Costa Rica (it actually was one of our visa runs from Mexico :D) but I totally fell in love with this country. The people, the lifestyle, the climate, the culture but first and foremost - the absolutely incredible, rich and diverse nature... National parks cover almost one third of the country and they are packed with some of the most fascinating fauna and flora on Earth. Stunning place.
