Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 93

avatar

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 93rd round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

After several cloudy days, we finally got to see some sun today here in Krakow, Poland so I took advantage of the nice (yet very cold) weather and went for a little walk in the Krakowski Park. The photo was taken just some 2 hours ago, around the noon, but you can see how low the sun is actually hanging in the sky and how long the shadows are even at noon in this part of the year here in Central Europe. Almost of all the colorful autumn foliage have already "moved" from the canopy down to the ground where it now starts to rot. I think we might see the first snow of the year by the end of November as the temperature is already very low.

In the last round, we had 5 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

After a long stretch of constant rain and grey skies, I feel so happy to enjoy the Sun again. I took advantage of the rare sunny days here to hang out a lot before driving up to Da Nang's Son Tra Peninsula, Vietnam in the late afternoon on Sunday to watch the sunset 🌞🙂☀️.

Last Thursday we found ourselves in Ballina, on the North Coast of NSW, Australia this is not a huge town with only a population of just over 26,000 people, it's a very charming town known for it's beautiful beaches and seafood. The drive to Ballina town from my town of Byron Bay is about 35km and worth going there just for their seafood we ended up eating the best fish and prawns by the Burns Point Ferry Pier, by the time we had immensely enjoyed our late afternoon seafood lunch we took a walk along the Burns Point Ferry Pier, it was coming on to sunset and I wanted to catch Ballina town sunset by the pier, it looked like a amazing spot for a sunset with the bleached trees, dead tree in the background, the rocks from the pier and hopefully some reflections would come into the picture, as the sun starting to go down we were sitting on the rocks having a chat and waiting for mother nature to put on another spectacular show for us not long after the curtains opened nature was unfolding before us it was the perfect sky with the right formations of clouds as the sun was slowly fallen further deeper into the horizon it all came in sequence we had the perfect scenery to frame this superb sunset.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

A bike ride with my group on a beautiful morning. We went to a place that is the lighthouse on the east side of the Son Tra-Da Nang peninsula. I haven't cycled often in a long time and the steep slopes have caused me to fall and scratch. The photo was taken around 9am when I fell behind the group

Hi @phortun . It's really nice to be back this wonderful challenge. The photo below was taken by me this morning. The electricity in my area went off this morning, then I brought my laptop to a coffee shop on Hai Van Pass, Danang to work. And this is the view from the cafe. The small guy on the rock is me. 😁

Hi friend @phortun and readers, pleased to share with you again a seascape of sublime beauty, where nature shows its generosity in the presence of man.
The simplicity and silence of this place, inspires to enjoy every moment of life.
The salty sea breeze and the contrasting blue hues of the sea and sky awaken the senses and create moments to remember and share.
This image is from the fishing village in Santa Rosa, Anzoátegui state, 25 November 2021.
Happy life ¡

I won't be missing this round! 🥰 It is very timely!.🥰 I now arrived at my hometown. I got some pictures here while I am on my way home. 🥰
I gonna share the picture I got while I am riding a tricycle and entering the village. 🥰
It is very fresh because it was taken just earlier. 🥰
The weather is beautiful and cool. Unlike the weather while I am still sailing, it's gloomy and raining.

Here is my entry picture taken at my hometown Barugo, Leyte, Philippines! 🥰

Hi @phortun. I took this picture at Vinh Dien Bridge in Quang Nam province last week. It was about to rain at that time, so there were a lot of clouds. Glad to be back with your challenges.

This photo was taken on Sunday from my walk along the Pacific Ocean coastline at the Pat Morton Lookout point in Lennox Head from up here you can see all the way out to Seven Mile Beach and is a prefect spot for whale watching when in season and spotting dolphins, they also do hang-gliding from this stunning lookout point gliding over the sparkling Pacific Ocean and admiring the great coastline views.
