Saturday Savers' Club: Week 2

avatar

Hello beefriends and saving friends! It's week two of my 365 Day Saving Challenge, and I am now up to 17.01 HBD in my savings account, woohoo! :)

(and really hoping this post works because Peakd keeps signing me out not only when I close a tab since yesterday, but repeatedly while I've worked on this post and I am OVER IT)

As you can see, I am putting in whatever amounts I have on hand, so some days when I don't have a lot of HBD, I put in cents, and some days when I have a nice post payout, I put in dollars - of HBD, that is. I am color coding this by month on the amount chart and by week on the date chart, so I can keep track of my progress that way too. :)

I am also working on a goal of 100 EDS tokens, and am currently up to 72, so making progress there, too. Hooray! It has helped that other people have been selling off at good prices.

I have a goal of buying myself a full-size keyboard which I've always wanted, but other than that nothing specific; it might go toward groceries or rent or Hive Power or more EDS tokens; we'll see when I get there. :)

Are y'all participating in the saving challenge? Let's talk goals in the comments! :) Thanks to @susie-saver and @eddie-earner for the inspiration, and thanks for reading!

Like I said before, am with you on this one. I transfer to savings once my liquid HBD hits 150. My target is 700 HBD by the end of the year. I don't have any specific use for it though, but just reckon it'll be a nice amount to have in store

Great progress here 😍.
Do you have a picture or a link to the keyboard you would like?
Work has given me a new keyboard and I am struggling after using a soft touch one for several years, it is very hard on the hands. And so noisy! How people work together in an office with that clatter going on all day, I don't know. I've sat it on folded towel to quieten it down a bit.

Oh, no, a musical keyboard, like a piano. :) Since I live in an apartment I can plug in headphones and plunk away for hours without annoying my neighbors that way.
I put one on my Amazon wish list based on it being full size and a good price but I think it's pretty basic. Maybe if I get this whole year of savings I'll end up getting one with more bells and whistles? I don't know. 😄

Oh! 😂😂😂

That makes sense! Great idea and what a lovely thing to save for.

Ha ha ha. I still have my old 2003 iMac keyboard which I sometimes use, but generally I'm fine on the laptop keyboard. The plug in one is great if I have to do a lot of number keying, though - I find that way easier on the extra keys to the right on a full computer keyboard.
