RE: Peer Bullying / Akran Zorbalığı ( ENG-TR)

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Sometimes, children can be very cruel... I suppose that it has to come from the family, lack of attention and guidance, but also by the usage of social media and spending a lot of time alone... Yes, I was also bullied in my childhood, but luckily not too long to reach depression levels...
Today, I see more and more kids with a lack of empathy... What you wrote about "putting yourself in someone else's shoes"... That's something that nowadays children are unable to do, which leads to a lack of empathy and cruelty... Social media profiles are viewed as digital IDs, without emotions, but it's not like that at all...
Don't know what is the solution, but it is obvious that we have to act ASAP and work on fixing the issue...

Children who develop their innate empathy ability are more or less aware of the events, emotions and individual differences they see around them. I think that in order to develop empathy skills in children, it is necessary to ensure that they spend time in social environments. We can succeed if we are sensitive to the needs of children in this environment. As you said, this deficiency comes from family, indifference and being alone and dealing with social media. Thank you very much for your choice. I'll look into reading suggestions.
