Just like a night guard mounting money bank ,here I am doing the same looking after my birds at night. One thing I make sure is that there is light because this will help to boost their welfare and production in all ramifications. I don't in any way ration to feed birds. Their feeders are almost full to brim. I have conditioned them into that manner

"Broilers reared under blue light had a later onset of growth enhancement and were significantly heavier than those reared under white and red light at 20 d of age. Plasma testosterone levels were significantly higher in birds reared under blue light. ... These results suggest that green and blue light stimulate growth"

How many birds do you have to guard? I guess you are working on a breeder farm. I have once worked on a farm too.
