The step by step of processing Cassava into garri

Happy weekend to you all, how are you today, hope all is well.
Today i want to share and show you all the step by step of processing Cassava into garri and it is African traditional method.

Garri is the best trusted food in Nigeria especially in Akwa Ibom, no one hate it, we have two different ways of using it or eating it.
We are in the season of planting and harvesting, there are different ways of planting, many people use to harvest and plant, while harvesting they also use the same farm and the same place that they harvest the old one and then plant a new one, while some people normally harvested and keep the farm for the next season of planting which will be for complete one year and that is the best way to plant.
The esence of keeping a farm up to one Year before planting is because the farm needed more manure and after that one year the owner of the farm will clare the farm and put fire in it after putting fire after two to three days they will go and start planting.
We plant in a good time and season, we did all the farm process in time, planting is not the on ly farm work, after planting we weed out all the unwanted weeds palnt, this weeds can make all the farm plant not to grow as we want, from little knowledge weeds is a plant that grow were they are not wanted, its affecting the crops, so we normally weed three times before harvesting.

let's get to the procedure

Making garri is the hardest and easiest thing to do, we firstly went to the farm to harvest some Cassava, i was really happy because we are in the raining season and the ground is so soft, it will not be too hard for us to harvest and we harvest it as many as we want because we needed a lot of garri in the house.

So after harvesting we took them home and started pilling them out of the pills.

As the process is till on we start washing all the dirty out of the body and then selected those that have spoiled.

After washing them, we took them to our mile and grand them, after granding i put in a little oil and mixed them till they get mingled together and then i put them inside the bags and praist them, then the next day we go back and unpraist them .

After that i started to seaf them so that we can fray it

Here is the final process which is the fraying process and this is the hardest point we have to be extremely careful so that it will not get spoiling and the fire is so so hot eeeeeeh, i hope with this step by step it will help you to fellow up.
