💀 The Unwanted Undead Adventurer 💀 - Anime Adaptation Review 🍀 (ENG -ESP)

Hello friends of The Anime Realm! How have you been? These days I've been watching several series that border the cliché of being repetitive compared to other productions but as I've been watching them I've realized that although its premise is quite similar they really have a clear difference from each other, this time I decided to watch "The Unwanted undead adventurer" and I wanted to give you my opinion about what I thought!

For quite some time I've been avoiding Isekai style anime, because there was a season where there were new Isekais every day, and they were really bad quality, but some others were really very good, obviously this whole genre started with SAO and Overlord, but at a point where everything was a copy and paste from other franchises.

That's why I wanted to give this anime a chance, because in several reviews they talked about that although it was a pretty similar anime to the previous ones, it had a little calmer pace and delved a little deeper into character development.

The premise is quite simple there is an adventurer named Rentt Faina who wants to become a mithril class adventurer but is too weak and has not been able to ascend from bronze class, in one of his explorations through the labyrinth he gets a dragon that accidentally or not, turns him into an undead which triggers the whole premise of this work.

As he gets used to this new body he discovers that his powers have been increasing and that he has something that differentiates him from other undead, which is the ability to evolve into a stronger creature, a theory that his great friend Loraine had told him a long time ago so our adventurer will try to become stronger and stronger to become human again and fulfill his goals.

As the work progresses we realize that it takes its time to explain the process that our protagonist is going through, the work does not want to advance things in a way that it seems scripted or simply does not want to make its protagonist seem so powerful from the beginning, something that is very good because we see little by little how he develops and learns about his powers, also note that he is being helped by his friend Lorraine, which calls herself his friend but we all know that she is his love interest both from her side and from the protagonist's side hahaha.

Obviously also the secondary characters have much prominence in this series because being our protagonist an adventurer will appear new characters that will give him tasks and gradually will be related to him, to the point of being acquaintances or friends, also those who already knew our adventurer before becoming a non-dead will gradually find out what happened to him, and try to help him overcome this situation which makes the work has a lot of character development and make us feel empathy for all of them, because they use a lot of emotional moments or the same friendship to give us to understand the concern for each other.

As for the adventures as I mentioned before, this series has a lot of action but at the same time tries to take things in a calm way, one chapter may be quite quiet and the other may have a lot of combat, which seemed normal to me because it is also noteworthy that our protagonist is gradually learning his skills and also how to move through a world full of normal people being him an undead, as we basically see how he tries to maintain discretion and only act at the right time which gives meaning to the rise and fall of the action.

That said overall I thought it was a pretty good piece of work, it reminded me a lot of Overlord which is one of my favorite series, however the plot is totally different, but it has an aura of that protagonist going from being a monster to someone very loved by everyone.

It has very few episodes and left me with a lot of desire to continue watching it because that way of telling the story so slow really catches you because you want to see where the work wants to get, lately many series try to get very fast to the point and as they do not develop their characters or is a development so basic, really lose much essence, which makes me stop watching it quickly, but this caught me!

It was already confirmed that there will be a second season and I have to make an honorable mention to the musical Ending of the show because I thought it was amazing, it's very emotional and how they captured it I thought it was great.

Without anything else to say, I hope you give it a chance if you like that style of fantasy anime and that is quite calm because it will not disappoint you.

Hola amigos de The Anime Realm! Cómo han estado? Estos días he estado viendo varias series que rozan el cliché de ser repetitivas comparadas con otras producciones pero que conforme las he ido viendo me he dado cuenta de que si bien su premisa es bastante parecida realmente tienen una clara diferencia una de otras, en esta ocasión decidí ver “The Unwanted undead adventurer” y quería darles un poco mi opinión sobre lo que me pareció!

Desde hace bastante tiempo he estado evitando los animes de estilo Isekai, pues hubo una temporada donde habían Isekais nuevos todos los días, y realmente eran de muy mala calidad, pero algunos otros realmente eran muy buenos, obviamente todo este género comenzó con SAO y Overlord, pero ya un punto en el que todo era un copia y pega de otra franquicias.

Por eso quise darle la oportunidad a este anime, pues en varias reseñas hablaban de que si bien era un anime bastante similar a los anteriores, tenía un ritmo un poco más calmado y ahondaba un poco más en el desarrollo de personajes.

La premisa es bastante simple hay un aventurero llamado Rentt Faina qué quiere llegar a ser un aventurero de clase mitrilo pero es demasiado débil y no ha podido ascender de clase bronce, en una de sus exploraciones por el laberinto se consigue a un dragón que accidentalmente o no, lo convierte en un no-muerto lo cual desencadena toda la premisa de esta obra.

Mientras se va acostumbrando a este nuevo cuerpo va descubriendo que sus poderes han ido incrementando y que tiene algo que lo diferencia de otros no-muertos, lo cual es la capacidad de evolucionar a una criatura más fuerte, una teoría que su gran amiga Loraine le había comentado hace muchísimo tiempo así que nuestro aventurero intentará hacerse cada vez más fuerte para volver a ser humano y cumplir sus metas.

Conforme va avanzando la obra nos damos cuenta de que se toma su tiempo en explicar el proceso por el que está pasando nuestro protagonista, la obra no quiere adelantar las cosas de manera que parezca un guionazo o simplemente no quiere hacer parecer a su protagonista tan poderoso desde el principio, algo que es muy bueno pues vamos viendo poco a poco como desarrolla y aprende sobre sus poderes, también cabe destacar que él está siendo ayudado por su amiga Lorraine, la cual se autodenomina su amiga pero todos sabemos que es su interés amoroso tanto desde su lado como desde el del protagonista jajaja.

Obviamente también los personajes secundarios tienen mucho protagonismo en esta serie porque al ser nuestro protagonista un aventurero aparecerán nuevos personajes que le darán tareas y poco a poco se irán relacionando con él, hasta el punto de ser conocidos o amigos, también los que ya conocían a nuestro aventurero antes de convertirse en un no- muerto poco a poco irán averiguando qué fue lo que le pasó, y tratarán de ayudarlo a sobreponerse esta situación lo cual hace que la obra tenga mucho desarrollo de personaje y nos haga sentir empatía por todos ellos, pues recurren mucho a momentos emotivos o a la misma amistad para darnos a entender la preocupación de los unos por los otros.

En cuanto a las aventuras como les mencioné anteriormente, esta serie tiene bastante acción pero a la vez trata de llevar las cosas de manera calmada, puede que un capítulo sea bastante tranquilo y puede que en el otro haya mucho combate, lo cual me parecio normal pues también cabe destacar que nuestro protagonista poco a poco está conociendo sus habilidades y tambien a cómo moverse por un mundo lleno de personas normales siendo él un no-muerto, ya que básicamente vemos cómo el trata de mantener la discreción y solo actuar en los momentos justos lo cual le da sentido a el sube y baja de la accion.

Dicho esto en general me pareció una obra bastante buena, me recordó muchísimo a Overlord la cual es una de mis series favoritas, sin embargo la trama es totalmente diferente, pero tiene un aura de ese protagonista que pasa de ser un monstruo a alguien muy querido por todo el mundo.

Tiene muy pocos episodios y me dejó con muchísimas ganas de seguir viéndola pues esa manera de contar la historia tan pausada realmente te atrapa porque quieres ver a dónde quiere llegar la obra, últimamente muchas series tratan de llegar muy rápido al punto y como no desarrollan a sus personajes o es un desarrollo tan básico, realmente pierden mucha esencia, lo que hace que la deje de ver rápidamente,pero esta me atrapó!

Ya se confirmó que habrá una segunda temporada y tengo que hacer una mención honorífica al Ending musical de la obra porque me pareció increíble, es muy emotivo y como lo plasmaron me pareció genial.

Sin nada más que decir, espero que le den una oportunidad si les gusta ese estilo de anime fantasioso y que sea bastante calmados pues no los defraudará.
