Today I will share with you the passage from the Gospel according to Luke, chapter 6, verses 43 to 45, where Jesus, speaking with his disciples, uses the metaphor of trees and their fruits to transmit a teaching about the nature of human beings and the importance of their actions.
The passage says like this.

It is not a good tree that bears bad fruit, nor a bad tree that bears good fruit. For every tree is known by its fruit; For figs are not harvested from thorns, nor are grapes harvested from brambles. The good man, from the good treasure of his heart, draws good; and the evil man, from the evil treasure of his heart, brings out evil; Because of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

First of all, "It is not a good tree that bears bad fruit, nor a bad tree that bears good fruit," establishes a basic principle: the quality of the tree is judged by the fruit it produces. This means that a person's actions reveal their true character. If someone does good and useful things for others, they are considered a good person. On the other hand, if your actions are negative or harmful, you are considered a person with a less noble character.

The following statement, "for every tree is known by its fruit," reinforces this idea that actions are a direct reflection of the essence of the person. Just as it is impossible for a thorn tree to produce figs or brambles to bear grapes, it is also unlikely for a person with bad intentions and attitudes to produce positive and benevolent results.

The last part of the passage, "The good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, brings out what is good; and the bad man, out of the evil treasure of his heart, brings out what is evil; for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks," delves into this idea by connecting actions with the person's internal state. It is suggested that what a person does and says is a manifestation of what is in his or her heart. If someone harbors kindness and generosity within them, it will be reflected in their actions and words. Likewise, if someone has malice and selfishness in their heart, it will manifest in their behavior towards others.

Ultimately, this passage teaches that our actions reveal who we really are, as they reflect what is in our hearts. It urges us to be aware of our intentions and to strive to cultivate a heart full of love, kindness and compassion, in order to produce positive fruits in our lives and in the lives of others.

Hoy les compartiré el pasaje del Evangelio según Lucas, capítulo 6, versículos 43 al 45, donde Jesús hablando con sus discípulos utiliza la metáfora de los árboles y sus frutos para transmitir una enseñanza sobre la naturaleza del ser humano y la importancia de sus acciones.
El pasaje dice así.

No es buen árbol el que da malos frutos, ni árbol malo el que da buen fruto. Porque cada árbol se conoce por su fruto; pues no se cosechan higos de los espinos, ni de las zarzas se vendimian uvas. El hombre bueno, del buen tesoro de su corazón saca lo bueno; y el hombre malo, del mal tesoro de su corazón saca lo malo; porque de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca.

En primer lugar , "No es buen árbol el que da malos frutos, ni árbol malo el que da buen fruto", establece un principio básico: la calidad del árbol se juzga por los frutos que produce. Esto significa que las acciones de una persona revelan su verdadero carácter. Si alguien hace cosas buenas y útiles para los demás, se considera una persona buena. Por otro lado, si sus acciones son negativas o perjudiciales, se considera una persona con un carácter menos noble.

La siguiente afirmación, "porque cada árbol se conoce por su fruto", refuerza esta idea de que las acciones son un reflejo directo de la esencia de la persona. Así como es imposible que un árbol de espinos produzca higos o que las zarzas den uvas, también es improbable que una persona con malas intenciones y actitudes produzca resultados positivos y benevolentes.

La última parte del pasaje, "El hombre bueno, del buen tesoro de su corazón saca lo bueno; y el hombre malo, del mal tesoro de su corazón saca lo malo; porque de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca", profundiza en esta idea al conectar las acciones con el estado interno de la persona. Se sugiere que lo que una persona hace y dice es una manifestación de lo que hay en su corazón. Si alguien alberga bondad y generosidad en su interior, eso se reflejará en sus acciones y palabras. Del mismo modo, si alguien tiene malicia y egoísmo en su corazón, eso se manifestará en su comportamiento hacia los demás.

Nos insta a ser conscientes de nuestras intenciones y a esforzarnos por cultivar un corazón lleno de amor, bondad y compasión, para así poder producir frutos positivos en nuestras vidas y en las de los demás.
