We will use the biblical text of Nehemiah 4:10. Look for it please.

Annoyance:

They were overwhelmed by the size of the work. Instead of seeing this work one day at a time, in stages, they saw everything as a whole, they saw the enormous amount of rubble and said that this work could not be done. When you look at the whole work and think you have to finish it in one day, of course you can't do it. Life is walked inch by inch, not meter by meter and much less kilometer by kilometer. Does it seem like everything is piling up on you? That he will never be able to finish everything he has to do? Listen, you have a life to build, you have a character to define, you have a family to build, you have a business to develop. We are all builders, and sometimes the materials pile up and we think we can't do it, it's too much.
We must take into account something very important, no work can be done if the debris is not removed. Let's see Neh 4:10 And Judah said, The forces of the carriers are weakened, and the rubble is much, and we cannot build the wall. Do you know that one of the hardest jobs is not laying the bricks, but removing the rubble? Most of us don't want to do that, but if we don't remove the debris or trash, we won't be able to get the job done. Although literal, physical rubble is spoken of here, by analogy we can say that there is a lot of theological and doctrinal rubbish that needs to be removed. There is a lot of moral trash that needs to be thrown away, a lot of traditional trash that needs to be gotten out of the way, to get back on the path that is the rock solid of God's Word. To do only what God says we should do.

It was a huge piece of land that had been filled in with garbage. Having bought the landfill, the man brought huge trucks with soil that were dumped on top of the garbage, while bulldozers were pressing and leveling the land. The dump completely disappeared and only a beautiful, huge, well-leveled piece of land was visible. Then they began to trace streets, sidewalks and very soon that land became a beautiful place with houses of different architectural styles, beautiful gardens, well-lit streets...
…a central park with a water fountain, children's games and everything necessary to make it a coveted neighborhood. Quickly people bought the houses and for a while everyone was really happy to live in that part of the city. But one day the streets began to become uneven, the sidewalks broke, the floors of the houses began to sink, the walls split, doors and windows became uneven, and the roofs opened and sank. One by one, the houses were abandoned. That beautiful part of the city became a graveyard of broken walls and rubble. The people around who remained stable, commented and said: from the beginning that building started badly because it was built on a garbage dump.
Why did that happen in this trendy and cute neighborhood? Because all those houses were actually built on garbage. You wouldn't build your house on rubbish, would you? Listen, you can't build your life on garbage. And while it is sometimes very hard to dig down to solid rock, it is worth doing if you want to build something that will last. It is true that the work can be tedious and exhausting, there will be the temptation to look for shortcuts, to use cheaper materials, not to follow safety codes. Listen, there is no easy way to serve God, Neh and his people got discouraged first because they were tired, second because they were overwhelmed by the work itself.

And thirdly, the threats, but we will not leave that for later.

Hoy seguiré hablando de los trabajos que hacemos para Dios, ya vimos como el enemigo nos ataca con cansancio, con desánimo y esta vez veremos el fastidio.

Fastidio:

Se sentían abrumados por el tamaño de la obra. En vez de ver esa obra un día a la vez, por etapas, vieron todo en conjunto, vieron la enorme cantidad de escombros y dijeron que ese trabajo no se podía realizar. Cuando uno mira el total de la obra y piensa que debe terminarla en un día, por supuesto que no podrá hacerlo. La vida se la camina centímetro a centímetro, no metro a metro y mucho menos kilómetro a kilómetro. ¿Le parece que todo se le está amontonando? ¿Qué nunca podrá terminar todo lo que tiene que hacer? Escuche, ud tiene una vida que construir, tiene un carácter que definir, tiene una familia que edificar, tiene un negocio que desarrollar. Todos somos constructores, y a veces los materiales se amontonan y pensamos que no podemos hacerlo, que es demasiado.
Debemos tener en cuanta algo muy importante, ningún trabajo se puede realizar si es que no se quitan los escombros. Veamos Neh 4:10 Y dijo Judá: Las fuerzas de los acarreadores se han debilitado, y el escombro es mucho, y no podemos edificar el muro”. ¿Sabe que uno de los trabajos más duros no es de poner los ladrillos, sino el quitar los escombros? La mayoría de nosotros no queremos hacer eso, pero si no removemos los escombros o la basura, no podremos hacer el trabajo. Aunque aquí se habla de escombros físicos, literales, por analogía podemos decir que hay mucha basura teológica y doctrinal que debe ser removida. Hay cantidad de basura moral que es necesario desechar, mucha basura tradicional que hay que sacar del camino, para volver al camino que es la solidez de la roca de la Palabra de Dios. Para hacer sólo lo que Dios diga que debemos hacer.
Historia: Hace algunos años un empresario compró el basural de la ciudad en donde vivía. Era un enorme terreno que había sido rellenado con basura. Habiendo comprado el basural, el hombre trajo enormes camiones con tierra que fueron tirando encima de la basura, mientras unas aplanadoras iban presionando y nivelando el terreno. El basural desapareció por completo y solo se veía un hermoso, enorme y bien nivelado terreno. Luego comenzaron a trazar calles, veredas y muy pronto ese terreno se convirtió en un hermoso lugar con casas de diferentes estilos arquitectónicos, hermosos jardines, bien iluminadas calles…
…un parque central con una fuente de aguas, juegos infantiles y todo lo necesario para que fuera un codiciado vecindario. Rápidamente la gente compró las casas y por un tiempo todos estaban realmente felices de vivir en ese lugar de la ciudad. Pero un día las calles comenzaron a desnivelarse, las veredas se rompían, los pisos de las casas comenzaron a hundirse, las paredes se partían, puertas y ventanas se desnivelaban y los techos se abrían y se hundían. Una por una, las casas fueron abandonadas. Esa hermosa parte de la ciudad se convirtió en un cementerio de paredes destruidas y de escombros. La gente de alrededor que permanecían estables, comentaban y decían: desde el principio esa edificación comenzó mal porque fue construida sobre un basurero.
¿Por qué sucedió eso en este moderno y lindo vecindario? Porque todas esas casas fueron construidas, en realidad, sobre la basura. ¿Ud no construiría su casa sobre la basura, verdad? Escuche, ud no puede construir su vida sobre basura. Y aunque a veces es muy duro el cavar hasta encontrar roca sólida, vale la pena hacerlo si queremos construir algo que dure. Es cierto que el trabajo puede ser tedioso y agotador, no faltará la tentación de buscar atajos, de usar materiales más baratos, de no seguir los códigos de seguridad. Escuche, no hay manera fácil de servir a Dios, Neh y su gente se desanimaron primero porque estaban cansados, segundo porque los agobiaba la obra en sí misma.

Y en tercer lugar las amenazas, pero eso no lo dejaremos para más adelante.
