I started this Weekend Event with the goal of winning a DO legendary pack. Unfortunately I narrowly missed out, however I did manage to improve my results (and rewards) from the last few weeks. In the end I got a score of 13/25 on Mythic, just two wins away from that milestone.

Most of the opponents I faced used compositions with the same goddess I use: Nature. In total, as you can see in the table below, I had nine games against Nature decks, of which I was victorious on six occasions. In contrast, opponents with Light decks were particularly difficult for me. This is a trend that I have repeated in recent Weekend Events.

One thing I found particularly curious was that I got to play five opponents in a row with Nature decks to close the Weekend Event.

About my deck: in my previous report I commented on the need to add more "blitz" to get more control of the tempo in the game. The change, so far, has been remarkable. In pressing moments relics like Staff of Roots or Jaguar Staff can change the course of the game. Both relics I added to my deck.

From weeks before I felt I had fallen into a streak of bad luck, bad results and so on. Now I think I have started to correct that course. Maybe for the next Weekend Event I'll get that legendary DO pack.

I had my doubts between Staff of Roots and Faeflame Blade, mainly because the latter is the most used by most Nature players. However, after testing them both, I opted for the former. It offers greater cost/benefit advantages. To put it in context: The four points of damage I can do with Staff of Roots is enough to take out low mana cost creatures, while also having the ability to restore lost health when attacking thanks to the ability to summon a Walking Plant.

I guess I'll base my preparation for the next Weekend Event on something that better counteracts the Light and Magic decks (I was lucky enough to only face two this weekend). At the same time I'm still testing compositions with other gods, however I don't feel I'm finding with any of them that "stability" that I have with Nature.

So close, Light decks are really making the ladder a lot harder! I do agree with your pick of Staff of Roots, it's especially helpful against Aggro War since Faeflame Blade would cause you to take too much damage. Not sure if you've tried adding Giant Pangolin, it seems like a decent addition to most Midrange Nature decks.

Exactly, it seems to me that Faeflame Blade ends up being very expensive in terms of the health you lose by attacking.

I've used Pangolin, but so far I can't figure out how to give it a space in this deck.

It might be worth it to add in a Faeflame blade or low-hanging fruit to contest early creatures.

Staff of Roots fulfils this function. I usually keep the extra mana gem in case I need to use it.

If you're not running Wildfire, I think Bladefly should be replaced with a bigger beast.

This same deck I originally tried to use with Overgrown Rhino, but I came to the conclusion that Bladefly is much more effective at turning a disadvantageous game around.

And, with any luck, it can also help a lot when facing other creatures with confused.
