Restrospective about my worst Weekend Event [ ENG | ESP ]

I finished a few hours ago my 25 battles for the Weekend Event; I can safely say that it was my worst participation since I started playing Gods Unchained; only eight wins is a lot less than I expected, but this is no time for regrets. This disappointing run prompted me to look into where my fault lies.

Well, I've played over 200 games with this deck, reached Mythic rank and have competed there in the last four Weekend Events, but there is one aspect that is my biggest blessing and, at the same time, the rock in my shoe: the luck factor. I think that's where the biggest problem with this deck lies.

The spells rely almost entirely on chance: Low-Haning Fruit, Canopy Barrage, Lightning Strike and The Hunt all attack a random target. Falling Star is the only exception to this. Something similar happens with the creatures, as the most powerful ones, in terms of strength/health ratio, are confused: Giant Pangolin, Brazen Moose, Overgrown Rhino and Bladefly. A very marked disadvantage in times of need.

What's the solution? No solution. At least not momentarily. While the problem, according to me, lies mainly in leaving many important passages of the game to random, I can't currently build a deck with better synergy that obviates this factor. With the Core Set Refresh upon us (a few hours away), everything will change in the meta and, for example, spells like Lightning Strike will no longer depend on luck. This is in addition to many other changes that will probably make most of us have to structure decks from scratch.

That's why, at least for now, I can only take on the task of learning. Change and try a card or two, and lose to get better. I'm already working on it, I've added two Rabid Bear and two Starving Sabertooth to my collection, in order to make them useful in a deck of a nature that relies more on planning ability than mere luck. While luck will always exist in TCGs and any other type of game that requires strategy, I insist that it is optimal to try to keep this factor to a minimum.

The people doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved deeply with her group and @fyrstikken . Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. I cant prove she is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing it. I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have tried to kill me and are still trying to kill me. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism

Hey. I did 11/25 this weekend with Deception, not so great. Still, let's hope our Epic DO packs contain cards that will be new Demogorgons in future :)

What about Sage of Renewal? It can cure your god in the late game because it delves spells and many of them are recovering. It actually costs 3 mana because it refreshes 4 mana after you summon it.

I play Deception and copied it from opponents several times. They are great. I bought two of them because there are too cool. If it isn't nurfed one day, it will cost a lot.

Sage of Renewal has been recommended to me before. Looks good, I'll buy a couple and see how it goes with the rest of the deck.

Although I'm also building a Deception deck.

Sage of Renewal was slightly nerfed so the price has fallen down. Some people say it is still good.

Many opportunities after Core Set was refreshed. Some new cards are amazing... So time to play to get as many Core Packs as possible 😀 Prices for new these cards are high now.

Not having Sage of Renewal hurts a lot, it's the entire reason Midrange/Control Nature is so popular now.

I have never used Sage of Renewal. I guess I'll buy a couple and see how I get on.

Well Sage got nerfed, and the csr happened, so who knows what the meta is now.
