In previous weeks I have written reports of the Weekend Ranked to highlight failures or, mainly, to mention punctual errors in my performance. But today it's time to celebrate a little, because this time I experienced what I think was my best recovery in this competitive mode since I play Gods Unchained. In short, it all ended with 10 victories, having started at Mythic rank.

And well, friends. Beyond the result itself, it's the way it happened that makes me feel good. With the 10 conquests I had what I needed to get a Mortal Judgement legendary pack. For some it may seem little, for others a lot. For me it's pretty good. I'm very happy to reach 10 victories, which is my goal every weekend that I started in Mythic, but even more, I insist, I'm comforted by how I got there. In the first 10 games of this WR I finished with seven losses and only three wins. Overwhelmed by several Arcane Burst Magic and victim of my own inaccuracies I fell into this bad streak.

So that's when I stopped playing. I took a break, if I may say so, and continued the next day. For the second round I continued with the aggro light. that moments before I had replaced by a control magic. I had to win seven matches and I could not afford to lose more than one (of the next eight). It was very complicated and the truth is that, at least at the beginning of this task, I did not think I would succeed. So I played without pressure, I continued with my aggro light and I got three wins. Then I fell against another aggro light. After that I won the next three matches, all against aggro war decks (it's crazy the huge presence that this archetype continues to have week after week) and there I was already one win away from completing the comeback. It is also worth noting that the matchup was in my favor at the end, at least in the last four matches. I had the feeling that everything was going my way.

The last duel, against an amazon nature, I dominated from start to finish. Even after the final victory, I still couldn't believe it. The ephemeral success was enough for me to return to Mythic, from where I had descended after the previous bad luck. So, after three weeks, I have my first great result with this aggro light deck that has accompanied me in recent times.

Final considerations

I'll probably stay away from control magic for a while. Gods Unchained is going through a time when it's not very feasible to get good results with control decks, especially if they are Mage decks, without specific cards that improve their performance considerably. In other words, in a control vs. control, the one with the more expensive deck has more chances to win, so, for me, it is not a viable option at the moment.

On the other hand, aggro decks seem to be living good times (especially the aggro war) Besides my aggro light, today's protagonist, I'm considering the possibility of building a competent hidden rush deception as an alternative. However, as long as it works, I'll continue to go with Lysander as my main option.

Congratulations on the legendary pack. I am also taking some breaks when I feel burnt-out for the day but most of I do play 10-15 matches every day just to see how the meta shifted.
