Almost from one day to the next the Gods Unchained devs announced a drastic change in the weekend event system (I'm sure you already know this if you're reading this). The amount of battles was reduced from 25 to 18 and, therefore, there was a redistribution of the rewards. Changes that, in my particular opinion, were necessary and completely positive.

Don't get me wrong, I love GU as a game, I honestly think it's the most fun TCG I've played since Yu-Gi-Oh! (the old one, not the monstrosity it is nowadays), however I can only play about five or six games a day (due to work and so on9, so sometimes it was very hard to play the 25 of WR. Now, with seven less, it was much more comfortable.

Of course, the ideal would be to implement a daily reward system as soon as possible, perhaps with seasons, and that the packs are delivered at the end of each season; however, in the meantime, this new system has been well received by most of the community, at least as far as I could see. I insist, it is not a solution, nor do I expect it to be something "definitive", but it is welcome as a temporary measure.

No me malentiendan, GU me encanta como juego, sinceramente creo que es el TCG más divertido que jugué desde Yu-Gi-Oh! (el viejo, no la monstruosidad que es actualmente), sin embargo solo puedo jugar unas cinco o seis partidas al día (por cuestiones de trabajo y demás9, así que a veces se me hacía muy cuesta arriba el jugar las 25 del WR. Ahora, con siete menos, resultó mucho más cómodo.

Claro, lo ideal sería que implementaran cuanto antes algún sistema de recompensas diario, quizá con temporadas, y que los packs sean entregados al final de cada temporada; no obstante, mientras tanto, este nuevo sistema ha calado bien en la mayor parte de la comunidad, al menos hasta donde pude ver. Insisto, no es una solución, ni espero que sea algo "definitivo", pero es bien recibida como una medida temporal.

The weekend

Just before the start of the current WR I arrived at Mythic (leaving everything to last hour is my passion). Already in progress I had one of the most frustrating weekends, especially because when I thought I was on my way to achieving the 10 wins, to win the legendary MJ pack, two defeats in a row printed a very big "NO" on my face. Three epic core packs, one rare MJ and two epic MJs are not bad, although it is inevitable to feel that I could have done much more.

Ya en el desarrollo tuve uno de los fines de semana más frustrantes, sobre todo porque cuando creí que iba en rumbo a lograr las 10 victorias, para ganar el pack legendario de MJ, dos derrotas seguidas me imprimieron un grandísimo "NO" en la cara. Tres packs core épicos, uno de MJ raro y dos de MJ épicos no están mal, aunque es inevitable sentir que pude haber hecho mucho más.

I played most of the matches with the Midrange Magic deck I've been using for the last month, with some minor variations that don't affect the performance of the deck to a major extent. I also tried on a couple of occasions with a makeshift Guild Zoo Deception, however I didn't like the end result so I quickly dropped it.

However, I do notice a certain power in the meta with Deception. Something that was born, I guess, as a consequence of having many magic players in all ranks. Now I just bought a deluxe booster (plus other companions) to prepare for the next Weekend Ranked. A good Aggro Deception is cooking.

I agree that 18 games is way better, but that they need to get p2e going asap. Those were solid rewards! Hopefully you get that leggy pack reward next weekend!
