This Weekend Event was definitely the toughest one I've had since I started playing Gods Unchained. I don't know if the pro players were asleep and decided to wake up for this weekend, or it was just my unlucky days. In total I had 14 wins; far from the 20 I required to get a legendary DO pack. The truth is that, even before the weekend, everything went particularly badly.

For starters, I didn't make it to Mythic before the event started. I was trying for hours on Thursday but, no matter that I was just a win away from the goal, I kept falling back to the start of Ethereal Diamond. At a certain point I was just about to fall into Solar Gold, so for the sake of my mental health I stayed there, in the penultimate rank.

About the gods I faced in this Weekend Event, comparing it to last week, I must mention two things: the dominant presence of Nature (eight games against Aeona opponents) and War (seven against Auros) decks is maintained. Last week I played 14 opponents with either of these two gods, this time it was 15. This and other data can be better appreciated in last week's table and the one below:

Among other bad news, I still can't beat opponents with Magic decks. Four losses in a row against Magic both worry me and get my attention. So, as soon as the event was over, I put together a deck to test Elyrian's strengths. I've made some modifications to it, but I'm trying to keep the essence.

My deck for this Weekend Event was exactly the same as the one I used in last week's, in which I got 13 wins in Mythic, better results than the current ones. I notice that with this combination I have a certain "ease" in overcoming the aggro decks, even if this week's results don't show it, and the combination of Death with zombies has been particularly easy on several occasions.

I still think I can get a lot of use out of this deck, perhaps with some minor modifications. However, it's also time to put together an "alternative" option. In addition to Magic, I've tried a few combinations with Light in a tentative way. If I can put together something worthwhile, maybe I could face my first Weekend Event with a different deck than the ones in the Nature domain.

Watchtower is too slow for the meta I feel. Also if you're running bladeflys, wildfire is good with them and the rest of the wild creatures.

It is very complicated to combine bladeflys with Wildfire. I use them more as a nuisance to make the opponent spend resources.
