Importance of having a HIVE ROLE MODEL

One basic fact that people tend to miss is that it is necessary for every newbie at any particular place to have a role model of which hive dApp is not an exception.
Joining Hive is very simple but maintaining consistency is a basic challenge that have lead to many abandoned profiles.
The hive dApp is nice place to learn, earn and also interact but unfortunately newbie only dive into earning mentality and ignore important things that will help them grow.

Take for instance, that successful athlete you like reading about and even have lot of his/her photos on your phone had a role model since the beginning of their career and even after accomplishing their dream by becoming a star. In school, you have to choose that brilliant and caring senior. This are things that helps shape your life immediately in outer world.

Here on Hive, same thing is applicable. Choosing a role model is very important till you figure out your energy and can stand alone. There are so many active Hivers in all niche. Following them and even adding them as favorite poster for quick notification on every publication (applicable to Ecency users) will help you a lot because of watching their energy and trying to emulate.

How to choose a role model

First step to choosing an Hive role model that you can follow up to learn is by choosing a niche. Why do you want to watch what you cannot practice? It is waste of time. Choose a niche first, join a community that operate on your niche and explore it in order to get yourself a role model then follow the person immediately. If you check my blog, you will know that I like sharing my art regularly. As such, my role model is @maxwellmarcusart. I got to know proper tags to use when making art post through him.

It is also proper to choose a role model that interacts. Getting stock in certain things but the person you look up to refuse to reply through question comments maybe discouraging. So I will advise you to consider it too.

I remember when I had challenges on Movie Review community, my role model refused to reply my chat. It was so painful and I gave up for a while although I’ve been able to figure it out recently.

Things that you should observe about your Hive model

Monitoring the number of post that your role model make in a day is another helpful thing and timeframe. Does your role model post ones in a day or more. If he/post twice, you should make a silent competition of making at least one post and several (minimum 10) comments everyday. This self aligning race will surely help you.
My art role model (@maxwellmarcus) is very consistent I.e 2 post daily. This encourages me to try and maintain at least 1 post daily and it has been working out for me.

Don't fail to visit your role model blog regularly. You may learn about latest happening immediately. Personally, I have learn a lot from @monica-ene, @merit.ahama and @josediccus in writing on leofinance because they are my role models on leofinance. I got to know some fact about Leofinance through theirr posts and make some other basic research.

Hive is not complex, following the right approach will help you grow faster. I know that you want to earn quick but it is a step by step journey.
