Oh deer! [EN/DE]

Today I'm going to show you a watercolor I painted recently. It took me several weeks because at the moment there is hardly a night that I don't fall asleep with my kids. But sometimes I get up when they finally make it to dreamland... and then sometimes I start painting.

Heute zeige ich euch ein Aquarell, das ich erst kürzlich gemalt habe. Ich habe mehrere Wochen gebraucht, weil es im Moment kaum einen Abend gibt, an dem ich nicht zusammen mit meinen Kids einschlafe. Aber manchmal stehe ich auf, wenn sie es endlich ins Traumland geschafft haben... und dann fange ich manchmal an zu malen.

This is actually a re-painting. I carved the same topic many years ago into some little wooden cover and now the two-headed deer is back in color.

Das ist eigentlich die Neuauflage eines alten Bildes. Ich habe das gleiche Thema vor vielen Jahren in einen kleinen Holzdeckel geschnitzt und jetzt ist der zweiköpfige Hirsch wieder da - in Farbe.

You can see the process here. I´m still not sure about the use of the fineliner in the end, but I think it´s ok and now it´s anyway too late.

Den Fortschritt kann man hier sehen. Über die Verwendung des Fineliners bin ich mir am Ende noch nicht sicher, aber ich finde es ok und jetzt ist es sowieso zu spät.
