Temples... or beaches?

Or... both?

Revisiting old trips again, and again my mind wondered to Asia.

Asia, again?? How come?

Well, Mr. crab, probably because I can relax at a stunning beach, with crystal clear water, and still be able to photograph little creatures like you! And since you look good in monochromes too, off to a #monomad challenge you go!

This little crab with a curious face appeared in this exact beach, somewhere in the countless small islets near Sihanoukville, in Cambodja. This was the perfect place to relax after backpacking through Vietname, and before visiting another highlight of these vacations.

Amazing temples and stunning beaches, this country has it all. And hardly anyone visits Cambodja without visiting Angkor Wat, right?

Probably most of the visitors just focus on the architecture, with all its little details; one can easily spend a week here and not see all the structures within. Me, I can't not admire all this beauty and think how even more awesome Angor was in its former glory; yet, also can't help but search for all the critters, big or small, that were visiting the temple at the same time.

Some even seem to be enjoying the sights as much as I do!

Then again... maybe not. I bet mr. lizard here was just trying to go unnoticed, while the horde of tourists passed by; nope, not while I have a zoom camera in my hands!

Birds, lizards, monkey gangs, they all live here, among the ruins. I wonder how many tourists acknowledge their presence, and how many hundreds of creatures are simply invisible, while the focus is somewhere else.

Guess that will be the case most of the time, as so often happens in life: we're so busy looking at the big things, that we miss most of the little details. But I digress; may your days be filled with travels, far far away!

I'm very much scared of crabs.
God knows that I cannot take a close up picture of crabs because of how scared I am
I love those pictures

Nice shots for monochrome. Nature vs history vs vibrant cities so tough to choose

I love these pictures! They have a very different nature! From the animal world, to the landscapes and the elements from the ruins! I really enjoyed them! I like how you captured the entire environment by observing!
