A delayed recap

I usually do my "self assessment" post at the first day of each month, but being away from home that day, and being sick for the following days postponed the post a little bit; but here it is!

^{Wondering in places like this is a perfectly good reason to delay a post, right? ;)}

I normally use leofinance frontend to post these posts, but I've tried the new UI that launched a couple days ago, and can't really navigate it that well: I was only able to see threads, and it was even impossible to find my earlier leofinance posts! Is it just dumb me and I'm missing where to look, or is the focus changing completely for short content form? I'll dig into it in the following days, but no point in dalaying this post more, it's a great way for me to keep track on my growth. So, let's check numbers, shall we?

Don't think I've been that active this past month, but even so, still on track to reach my desired numbers: only 701 Hive left to my long awaited 10k hive, and hope to reach 1k HBD savings during this month!

Gaming my way to account growth?

Unless you are really distracted, the new Hive game Golem Overlord wouldn't go unnoticed. I decided to jump in on the first day. The game token part was selling really well on hive-engine, and I was getting drug wars vibe on the whole thing (remember this game on the early blockchain days that then rugged everyone?), so decided to get my initial investment back as soon as possible... that was acomplished in less than 48h! From there, the token dipped a little bit, but when I though it would be downhill from there, it actually doubled the price! So been evolving in the game, but regularly cashing out a little bit too, and I can say it's being quite profitable so far!

Another game that launched, albeit a little more discreet, is called Serfdom and Sorcery, and it's a discord game from the team behind @psyberx! It reminds me the old games purely text-based, but features are being added on a regular basis, so will be keeping an eye on it too.

This means that apart from the ones I usually play, there are two more titles that will deserve my attention. I do enjoy playing games, but I'll have to strike a balance between fun and investment, and I will want to combine them so I can have some fun, evolve in the game... but still being able to use some of the game profits for account growth! it takes some time investment, the trick is to find out how much time is it worth to invest! And of course, lady luck will always play a role as well.

For now, can't complain: surveyed my last Splinterlands plots and...

In 5 plots, one rare and 2 epics, being one of the epics magical! We don't really know how good will they be, but it won't be long until we find out! ;)
