Sunbirds and beauty on show today.

I will also show you some Canon, Super Zoom shots.

This is a Malachite Sunbird and by now I think that some of you know that I get them on the farms here.

A friend of mine @buckaroobaby has posted a Malachite nest in a cactus with some babies and you can see it Here

So now come and see what I have for you today.

A few weeks ago the grape vines were empty with no sign of any growth, but look at it now.
This is one of the farms where I get the Malachite (Nectarinia famosa)

Tell me if you can see the Malachite's wife here on the Pincushion flowers.
153.jpg

No? Well here she is on the zoom.
154.jpg

This squirrel popped down to peep at us.
166.jpg

He whispered, "Say fella, what is that bulge in your pocket"?
Of course I had nuts in my pocket and put some down for him.
No, he didn't thank me, but it didn't bother me, as I give unconditionally.
168.jpg

That bird in the high tree is a Pinstriped Wydah (Vidua macroura)
143.jpg

And here he is on the zoom. A pity that I couldn't get his face as he flew away.
145.jpg

Finally just a full shot of the Malachite to show you his beauty.

This post makes me feel a bit better as we are going through some trials here with the doctors and our struggling internet connections do nothing to improve anything.
The continuous forced power cuts play havoc with our internet connections as the signal towers don't like interrupted power feeds.
So everything seems to be a bit erratic nowadays and I have missed our first meeting of the day due to a bad stomach.
Such is life I presume.

And That's All friends!

Guess what? They cancelled the powers cuts today until the next time.
It was said that we will still have 5 years of forced power cuts before they have sorted the supply out.
