Rainy days and powercuts here.

Nipped into the garden during a rain break as the flowers love the water.

Have you ever seen the eggs of a Gecko lizard?

Oh yes, the powercuts are back and we will be switched off in 30 minutes from now, so I have to hurry to get my first post of the day in.
Come and have a look at some beauties here.

Two tiny little eggs that were laid there in the stones. The rain must have washed it out of a crack.

One of our succulent's flowers and soon it will be covered in these little flowers.

An Acraea butterfly came to sit in the Guava tree.

Another blooming succulent and all the rain surely gives the flowers new life.

Ah! Here is the evidence that we found this morning.

This is our Cape Gooseberry bush and someone has been stealing the still green berries.
I know who now as it was an impatient squirrel as the berries are not ripe yet.

Here is a view of the Gooseberry bush.

We appreciated the short break in the rain and I think that this will be one of the best years for our garden with all the rain about. We are in late Spring season and the previous years it has not continued to rain like this.
The rain we can handle, but it is these damn powercuts that make our lives very difficult.

See you later after the powercut.

It's still raining there? We had one evening but sunny skies since.

How did you ever spot those tiny gecko eggs?

Nope, we had our first clear day today and thus far the whole of next week looks also clear. Now we have to prepare for the heat again.

Marian saw them as she was unrolling the hosepipe and suddenly a gecko startled her, so she saw why. The gecko was on her nest.
