Raining cats, dogs and squirrels here.

Finally the rain stopped and there was a crowd in the garden.

Always so nice to wake up to the sound of intense rain drumming on the roof. We expected the rain this morning and when it stopped the hungry residents arrived. All havoc as the little guys ran all over the place to grab a nut from our window sill and then to go and sit in their favorite spot.
There were 5 squirrels, but impossible to get all of them together in one shot, as they fight and scatter around too much.

One was coming to fetch a nut, as the second one in the queue was approaching and another two sat eating their nuts.

The Ringneck doves also started coming in but this dove had other ideas before they would start searching for the crumbs that the squirrels leave.

A lovely little character here sitting on the oak block.

Four of them in this shot sitting in peace for a change.

But the peace never lasts for long and soon they were chasing each other again.

Each of these little ones have their own demarcated territory in the garden and beware any trespassers. It is always a revelation to see how the squirrels endure the doves and I think that they see the doves as cleaners. Co-existence is often a great problem in our lives and yet, Mother nature shows us that it can be done peacefully.
Although every human being has their own road to walk in life, we can indeed accept each other in the greater picture.
Sadly so many prefer the squirrels fighting idea to get what they want. Even prepare to kill to get.
Such is life.

And That's All Friends!

Dog and cat? It is not physical as it is an English example of heavy rain.
