Feathered delight by a famous couple.

I returned to this farm to look for the Malachite Sunbird, but he was nowhere to be found until I stumbled upon this bush.

Only two shots that I got of him before he flew off, but two were enough, as here I was lucky to also get shots of his wife. They were having their Sunday lunch and the fact is that the Malachite always gets the most attention due to his metallic colors, but the wife is just as beautiful in her own way.
Come and look.

He got into position to take a last sip before he said goodbye.

And here was the Malachite female in action. She had a blue spot on her throat, almost like a necklace pendant.
But I didn't see her lipstick color hahaha.

Leaning over to taste the flower next door.

And finally this "Jackie Hanger" was sitting on an old farm harvesting machine to take a nap.

I had to post earlier today as we have to grab our chances to do what we do in between the busy times and half an hour from now we will be at the other side of the town busy with charity needs.
I got the birds on a strawberry farm and in another post you will see the old and newly planted strawberry fields.
So yes, our area is not only filled with wine farms, as there are also many other fruit and vegetable farms here.

Malachite Sunbird = (Nectarinia famosa)
"Jackie Hanger" = Southern Fiscal = (Lanius collaris)

And That's All Friends!
