A Sun Explosion Part 2.

As promised here is the African sun at its best.
117.jpg

The sun was now finally behind the last bottom cloud and the views from here were exquisite.

You can see Part 1 Here

10 photos to show you the progression of the sunset as I saw it and it was indeed a magical show. Fortunately the wind did not drive the clouds above the mountains at speed and it was so great to see the sun dropping through the cloud.
Prepare for a golden color show.

This was the situation as we had arrived at the final spot for me to get the sunset on camera.
063.jpg

Right, let the show begin and here you can see that the sun had reached the final cloud above the mountain.
111.jpg

Sun slowly sinking in behind the cloud.
114.jpg

116.jpg

Yep, the wait was worth it, as the sun started to drop out below the cloud.
119.jpg

141.jpg

Bang! There it was in it's full beauty.
157.jpg

Dropping down behind the mountain.
174.jpg

And then the sun was gone.
190.jpg

Finally a horizon scene here as we started to walk back along the beach.
240.jpg

On the long walk back I also took some lovely reflection scenes in the twilight that I will post in the #reflectionhunters contest of the #shadowhunters community.

I had to post earlier today, as we will soon have another power black out and I have to dodge the times in order to also get a later second post in. But like always we will prevail.
Hope that you have enjoyed the sunset with us.

And That's All Friends.

Ohh I won’t get around to editing those photos and doing a post for a few days probably I am building up a good supply of photos to last me through winter when I won’t get out on so many walks

Okay, so that's why I couldn't find it.
I also have a huge stock of photos, as I take an average of 300 or more photos every day for 5+ years now.

Trouble is that I don't remember which ones I have posted.

Hahaha, I always work on the fly my bro and have no such things like Lightroom and that.
In fact I don't know what Lightroom is and if I were to use it, I would be asking you all of the time how to use it 🤣
So, I save both of us some trouble 👍

Absolute magic, lovely view of the sun slowly sinking. Photography captured with birds on their way home a sight to behold, taking one back home and sweet dreams of a better tomorrow.

Thank you Lady Joan and yes, it was a magical show and I am glad that you also enjoyed it.
We had to walk about a kilometer on the beach to get the right spot for the shoot and my knee was not a happy chappy. But the shots were really worth it.

Photographs were superb, have you considered a knee brace to stop movement on knee, alleviate the pain learning to walk difficult areas with support?

Thank you for the link Lady Joan and I have tried several, but they all bend.
I need something that will keep the leg straight, so that the knee doesn't bend.

4 planks, some ropes and reef knots, wrap small towel beneath for comfort, Marian can strap you when needed 😉, you not supposed to break them.... just gently use them, you know nothing is made up to the task/last of late!

Agreed and thank you, but only one problem.
I cannot put anything tight on my leg, due to my stupid skin condition. Anything tight and then those itchy little hives pop up and that's why I even have to wear braces to keep my loose pants up.
No tight socks either, no watch and absolutely nothing tight.

!LUV
Let's see if !WINE works.

Really a case of between the devil and the deep blue sea with that knee.

Normally pure cotton breathes enough not to upset skin, try a pure cotton pillow slip wrap, design with riempie/skewer sticks to fit into slots, tighten using boot lace would have to be homemade.

Sounds like that operation is the answer perhaps in the new year!

!LUV
!WINE

You really have some good advice Lady Joan and thank you for the care.
The reality is that the knee has to be replaced and that's why the doctor booked me so quickly for the operation. We saw the X-rays and it's a real mess.

This is the leg that was smashed into my bike's engine in 1980 and after 6 operations the leg was made shorter due the the difficulties of the splintered Tibia and the Thibia bones to unite again.
Then after a few years the leg also stated bending and all of this impacted upon the knee.

Big mistake that I made is that I never used a spacer in my shoe and my back was also pulled out of alignment. Spinal vertebrae 5 and 6 are also smashed and luckily the hip is still holding out.
So now I am a real mess and heaven only knows how its all going to be fixed.

We are searching for a cheaper new knee supplier, but that's also not easy.

!LUV and I presume that my !WINE worked.

Oh yes, it's a real mess Lady Joan.
They want to fire the management, but who will replace them to ensure no load shedding?
The power stations are old and if they run the into the ground then we will be in real trouble.
Whose fault is it in the first place?

All that we can do.
Hope that your weekend is also going well.

2008 was a good starting point to put power into the hands of independent contractors. Would have been a good start instead of sitting pontificating for 13 years how to angle in on making profit off everyone.

Fault lies with the people voting, or not voting the wrong people into power, never reprimanding them when things started going wrong.

Monday (tomorrow) we will more than likely be back into rolling blackouts. We will have the 'pandemic' arrive on the 2nd December for 75 days to curb deaths on roads over Christmas Season, all looking for noddy badges, now hoodwink people into believing it is in their interest.... Say no more!

The motto is to NEVER privatise, as then experienced contactors would have been appointed and no kickbacks can be taken. How can you reprimand a person if you have taken money from them ?
So now we are all sitting in the dwang.
The givers and the takers have enough money tp pay and go off the the grid, but the people are left to suffer.
Now with this latest voting mix things might start to change. A big Might, but one can only hope.

Ha, I don't even want to reply to this comment Lady Joan.

One lot learned from the previous, just did it with way more finesse, cleared the coffers out much quicker.

Now effectively and efficiently destroyed, let the rebuild start... when?

All we need to add to last comment is possible prohibition to make someone NDZ happy, lack of punishment for the ones who deserve it, this is wielding power because they can!

0
0
0.000
avatar

Oh yes, the students have become the masters.

Rebuild will not start in our lifetimes.

What could one contractor possibly do with 16 late model luxury cars? Not even to talk about the 25 million Rand mansion. So many questions and no answers.
Owe 10Rand on your Tax submittance and they will hound you, but what about the billions that are slipping through the net? Punishment is a laughing matter and the small ones will always be forced to pay.

Majority do not pay tax that is left to a handful. Want the 'colonialist' fancy car, shoes and watch eventually will not be affordable living on grants, theft is already on the up take, quick money with no protection for public, why work?

0

0.000
avatar

And now our power generation company wants the handful of taxpayers to pay for a 200 million or billion loan. The handful of taxpayers will also have to pay for that failed E-Toll venture.
And then the handful of taxpayers will have to shell out for the two White Elephants called Medupi and Kusile. On and on we go on the merry go round.

Oh what a pain, add to that black outs and you are really tortured.

We are supposed to have a load shed right now, but the Steenbras dam has saved Cape Town again.
I like your title for our new national song and now we will have to add some lyrics to it.

Hang in there girl.

Maybe someone had a need for it 🤣

Every time that I see murder scene or a killing on the street in the news it reminds me of a buck that was shot. All of the other bucks will surround the dead one for awhile and then they will trot off to carry on with their lives, until they say the same thing again, and they do the same thing again.
Such is life, as we are the same.

Cheers and thanks.

The dead buck thing is to explain the inquisitive ways of people Hannes.
Whenever a person is shot or stabbed to death, a crowd of people will gather to watch the scene.
Then they will all leave to carry on with their lives. Exactly the same as the bucks.

Cheers and thanks.

I understood that, Zac, that's why I used your words "such is life". People want to see all the bad things but they forget quickly and they never thing that it could happen to themselves ... and then the others will watch...

So true Hannes, and when it happens to them, then they scream and they forget what they said when it happened to another person. People like to criticize by calling other victims careless, or stupid, but the forget that it can happen to anyone.

And then the others will watch and criticize. until it's their turn.

Cheers and thanks.
