A beautiful golf course.

We met here in the restaurant and while Marian did the talking I was out with my camera.

This is South Africa and we do things African style.

I will show you a golf course very close to the ocean and we have not been here before. Now I don't play golf and I only played one game that lasted the first two holes before I retired. Never again!
On the first hole the ball disappeared out of the property from the drive and on the second hole the ball decided to leave the premises again. So that was it for me and to stop the guys from laughing, I rather went to have a coffee at the clubhouse :)

I spotted a bird in that green Willow tree, can you see it?
228.JPG

Surely you can see the bird now?
227.JPG

It was a lovely Purple Heron, the mate of one that I showed in #featheredfriends yesterday.
225.JPG

Of course braaied meat (barbeque) was also available African style.

I got many birds on camera here that I will continue to post in the #featherdfriends community.

During meetings I do my part and then step away. If you have ever heard the noise of a flock of finches, then imagine a flock of ladies discussing charity issues. Everyone is talking at the same time and I call it "geraas" (noise).
Out there near the ponds far away from the players it is heavenly for a wandering eye and one can think in silence as one listens to the occasional sounds of nature.
I see that the Hive price has tanked again, but we have been there before and we survived, so we will survive again and the secret is to keep on Hodling. And of course to buy the dip if you can.

We only wish the best for all on Hive and I hope that my photos are a bit uplifting.

And That's All Friends.

Beautiful views... South African has a number of beautiful scenes.

Imagine you throwing the ball out of the premises twice!

If I was there, I would laugh too🤣🤣

Thank you and yes there is a variety of nature scenes across the country.

The first time that used a golf club to strike the ball on the drive. Needles to say that I got no points.

Glad that you were not there.

It is amazing to see the decorations of beauty brought about by nature. As ladies will always be ladies we still love them notwithstanding.

Your camera is very clear and brought photographs worthy of being wallpaper

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Thank you and that's a truth, as we always will love the ladies, but I like to love them from a distance 🤣

Glad that you liked the photos.

Cheers!

I played a round there last week! They are having trouble with their water, but it looks like they sorted it out now. Algae and a small plant growing on the water. They scooped truckloads full out onto the fairway! We live in such a stunning place. Awesome photographs.

Ah, so you know the course and yes, they were still clearing the dams of the floating algae.
I like to show the places from my perspective and it seems to work.
Thank you.

It really does work well!

Yes, I was a member there for 5 odd years, and played there three to four times a week!

Thank you!

Great to hear as I will go back there from time to tome to take more photos.
Waiting now for the rain to come and fill the Paardevlei dam so that the Flamingos will arrive.
I heard that they are already in the Cape.

Sorry for the long delay in response. Life sometimes has a way. And I got sick the last couple of days so I wasn't that productive. Have they arrived yet? There was some lovely rain recently though? I hope all is well that side.

I hope that you are better now.
No, only the original small group of Flamingo's are here and the real rain hasn't arrived yet.
Maybe this year they will not come.
All is well here thank you.

Lost my smell and taste, it is not back yet. So kinda depressing because of my affinity for the food industry. Hopefully, it comes back like the Flamingo's will come back. Glad you are well!

So sad to hear, but they say that all senses will return after a while. Let's hope that they are right.
When the Flamingos return I will let you know, as it will be affirmation that your senses will be restored.

Thank you so much! They are returning slowly, but not there yet. But we had some good rain, so hopefully, the flamingos will return shortly.

Patience my friend and all will be good again.
Yes, last night we had tons of water coming down and we will go to have a look at the dam tomorrow.

Would that now be your smell and taste sensations that you really hope will arrive, or our flamingos? 🤣
