Splinterlands team already announced they have a plan to create a new game inside Splinterlands. This is going to be Tower Defence type of game and not Splinterlands team but a third party company (Double Coconut) are going to develop this game. They are planning to sell two million packs with 250 thousand of those allotted to the pre-sale and it will start on 20th of September. Introduction

Double Coconut Founded by David Fox in 2012. They are an experienced group of game devs that have shipped tons of awesome mobile and web titles over ten years in business, including for some high-profile clients such as Microsoft, WB Games, Cartoon Network and BET Networks. Double Coconut has worked on such titles as the mobile version of blockchain game Splinterlands and the skill-based gaming platform Play With Brio. The company are currently working on two more NFT-powered games for their clients in the Trading Card Game (Splinterlands) and Auto-Chess genres, having previously created successful games for clients such as WB/Ellen Digital Ventures, Draftkings, and Cartoon Network.

In an effort to expand its Web3 development expertise, Double Cocount has hired Rob Carroll to lead their business development team.

Carroll is an industry veteran with 17 years of experience in the games industry, having worked with companies such as Zynga, LucasArts, and Tapjoy, and most recently helped launch the $Ruby utility token on the Binance Chain Network.
