Astolfo on the Moon

Here we are in 2023. My first post is not different from the previous ones - except that the content is new and original, as always it is. The content is a drawing - ink, nib and pencil - I just made. It is a newer version of the classic subject showing the knight Astolfo riding his flying horse to the Moon. He went there to find the lost mind of Count Orlando who went mad because of his unhappy love for the beautiful princess Angelica. The episode is part of the story from "Orlando furioso" ("The Frenzy of Orlando"), by italian poet Ludovico Ariosto, a very long and fantastic poem in rhyme, published in 1532. That's all. Here is my illustration. I drew it using a very thin nib and black indian ink.
