Saludos a todos en esta maravillosa comunidad DIY.
Una semana más, un nuevo concurso al que me sumo. Este nuevo reto se trata de pedrería y bisutería, un material que me encanta, sobretodo por el hecho de que mayormente las piedras brillan.

Para esta ocasión decidí hacer un antifaz adornado con piedras brillantes.
Necesité únicamente cartulina y la bisutería.
Todas estas piedras son recicladas, pues, son producto de pulseras y collares que en el pasado se me rompieron, pero como son muy hermosas, no dude en guardarlas.... Y qué mejor ocasión para usarlas nuevamente en los fantásticos concursos semanales.

Greetings to everyone in this wonderful DIY community.
One more week, a new contest that I join. This new challenge is about rhinestones and costume jewelry, a material that I love, especially for the fact that mostly the stones sparkle.
For this occasion I decided to make a mask adorned with shiny stones.
I only needed cardboard and costume jewelry.
All these stones are recycled, as they are the product of bracelets and necklaces that broke in the past, but as they are very beautiful, I did not hesitate to keep them..... And what better occasion to use them again in the fantastic weekly contests.

Primeramente, en el cartón hice la forma del antifaz, y luego recorté. Seguidamente, las coloque con las piedras que más me gustaban y comencé a pensar mi creación e ir armando la idea, y también asegurándome de tuviese las piedritas necesarias.
Los pasos siguientes son muy sencillos, creatividad y ¡a pegar!

First, I made the shape of the mask out of cardboard, and then I cut it out. Then, I placed them with the stones that I liked the most and started to think about my creation and put the idea together, and also making sure I had the necessary stones.
The next steps are very simple, creativity and glue!

Una vez que escogí mi idea, comencé a pegar con ayuda del silicon caliente. Empecé por los ojos, los bordee con unas piedras pequeñas de color morado.

Once I chose my idea, I began to glue with the help of hot silicon. I started with the eyes, bordering them with small purple stones.

Luego fui pegando piedras en el borde superior del antifaz, con piedras de tonalidades más claras.

Then I glued stones on the upper edge of the mask, with stones of lighter shades.

Seguidamente comencé a jugar con las piedras restantes y los colores... Agregué color blanco sobre los ojos, y piedras fucsias en la parte más externa para la que le diera viveza. En la parte inferior, jugué con los colores de piedras verde claro y marrón, y los alterne 3 de cada uno.

Then I started to play with the remaining stones and the colors... I added white color on the eyes, and fuchsia stones on the outermost part to give it liveliness. In the lower part, I played with the colors of light green and brown stones, and alternated 3 of each.

Decidí darle un toque que llamara la atención desde lejos (más que lo brillante) así que le agregué dos flores en la parte externa de los ojos. Y, en la parte inferior de los ojos aplique brillantes de color verde escarlata.
De igual forma, le agregué un palito de altura para sostener el antifaz, este lo adorné con una cadena. Otro toquesito justo en el centro del antifaz y ¡listo! Este fue mi resultado.

¿Que les parece? A mi me encantó!!

I decided to give it a touch that would catch the eye from far away (more than the glitter) so I added two flowers on the outside of the eyes. And, at the bottom of the eyes I applied scarlet green glitter.
I also added a tall stick to hold the mask, which I embellished with a chain. Another little touch right in the center of the mask and that's it! This was my result.
